About this role

Multilink Inc is seeking a Quality Inspector. The QI will need a good understanding of the quality environment, quality inspection tools, and processes.This position is responsible for ensuring that all products meet customer specifications, documenting non-conforming items, working with production, quality engineers, and other cross-functional departments to solve quality issues, and enforce quality processes and procedures in their work center.

Position Requirements

- Perform visual inspections of steel/aluminum cabinet pieces & parts with enclosures.

- Receipt and inspection of purchased products and materials.

- Delivers bought out products to the specified location.

- Perform inspections of powder coated parts for finish defects.

- Perform data entry of inspections.

- Use of email and MRP system.

- Ability to read and analyze blueprints.

- Keen eye for material defects or deformations.

- Utilize blueprints to identify the final product has all components.

- Work with Quality and Production team to problem solve.

- Manage Quality warehouse for non-conforming product.

- Investigate non-conforming material for disposition.

- All other duties as assigned by management.

Education and Experience

- H.S. Diploma or equivalent may be required.

- Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

- Must be able to read and understand blueprints, tape measure, calipers, and other shop drawing aids.

- Preferred manufacturing experience.

- Preferred quality control experience.

- Ability to use various measuring equipment (calipers, tape measurer, protractor, etc.)

- Reliable transportation to and from work.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.

- Understanding and support Company policies and procedures.

- Safety conscious behavior.

- Excellent attendance.

- Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand, sit, bend over for up to 8 hours.

- Ability to lift products ranging up to 75 lbs. (lifting harness or team lift available).

- Possibility of driving to other facility location for back up inspections.

- Ability to ascertain small differences in products, colors, numbers, and letters.

Work Site Environment

- Ability to work in a 55 – 85-degree Fahrenheit work environment.
