The Product Marketing Manager role is a senior individual contributor who translates U.S. portfolio strategy into high-impact commercialization, market development, customer engagement, and sales enablement programs. Reporting to the U.S. downstream marketing leader, this role independently leads complex initiatives and cross-functional workstreams for assigned products and priorities. The role contributes recommendations and market insights while the downstream marketing leader retains accountability for overall U.S. portfolio strategy, prioritization, budget allocation, and business performance.
What You'll Work On
- Lead assigned U.S. commercialization initiatives from insight and planning through execution, measurement, and optimization.
- Develop and execute product marketing plans aligned with the U.S. HeartMate portfolio strategy, annual operating plan, brand standards, and approved claims.
- Own defined product launches, lifecycle initiatives, market development programs, or strategic workstreams, including objectives, milestones, dependencies, risks, and post-launch assessment.
- Translate customer, field, clinical, competitive, and market insights into clear recommendations, positioning, messaging, and executable programs.
- Develop messaging frameworks, sales enablement tools, training content, customer-facing resources, and integrated campaign briefs.
- Partner with Sales leadership and field teams to identify adoption barriers, gather structured feedback, and improve program effectiveness.
- Analyze program performance, market trends, competitive activity, and business results; communicate insights and recommended actions to downstream marketing leadership.
- Lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Training and Education, Clinical, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Legal, Market Access, Finance, Global Marketing, and Marketing Communications without direct authority.
- Represent U.S. downstream marketing on assigned global and cross-functional teams and ensure U.S. market requirements are accurately reflected.
- Manage approved project budgets, agencies, vendors, timelines, and deliverables for assigned initiatives; escalate tradeoffs and risks appropriately.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, science, engineering, nursing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated product marketing or commercialization environments.
- Demonstrated experience independently leading complex product launches, commercialization programs, lifecycle initiatives, or market development workstreams.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
- Experience translating market, customer, clinical, and competitive insights into positioning, messaging, and actionable commercial programs.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, project leadership, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to define measures of success and use results to optimize execution.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and executive communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple high-impact initiatives, navigate ambiguity, and meet commitments in a fast-paced, matrixed, geographically diverse environment.
- Ability to travel up to 35%, including customer, field, and industry engagements.
- Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in cardiology, heart failure, mechanical circulatory support, or implantable medical devices.
- Experience with U.S. medical device launches and downstream marketing.
