We're excited to partner with Home Depot to provide customers with the "Direct from Store" delivery experience, allowing them to shop online and have their items delivered the next day by Temco Logistics.
We deliver a wide range of products, including concrete, lumber, drywall, fencing, grills, and more — directly to customers' homes, businesses, and job sites.
As a Field General Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing daily delivery operations across multiple locations. Youll lead a team of drivers, ensuring top-tier customer service while optimizing operational efficiency. This is a dynamic, hands-on role where youll monitor performance, solve challenges, and support our drivers to exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations: Conduct site visits to evaluate deliveries, ensuring quality service from start to finish.
- Address customer needs: Manage complaints, delivery inquiries, and escalations, working directly with Home Depot associates to resolve issues within the same day.
- Support your team: Monitor and motivate technicians to meet performance goals, providing feedback and creating action plans for continuous improvement.
- Ensure safety & compliance: Enforce dock safety standards, ensure uniform compliance, and uphold fleet maintenance protocols.
- Fleet & route management: Schedule and optimize technician routes, ensuring timely deliveries. Oversee vehicle inspections and coordinate preventative maintenance.
- Continuous improvement: Review performance metrics, document service failures, and work with the team to implement improvements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Coordinate with Home Depot stores to ensure smooth operations and align on customer needs.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: 3-7 years in Operations, Logistics, or Transportation Management.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple locations and teams effectively.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and route management software.
