What you will do:
The Lead Project Manager drives project efficiency by overseeing daily coordination, tracking financial budgets, and resolving complex operational bottlenecks. This autonomous role requires exercising independent judgment and discretion regarding significant administrative and project-related operations. The ideal candidate ensures that cross-functional deliverables stay on schedule and act as a primary communication bridge between stakeholders and project leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Exercise independent authority and full ownership over a designated customer product line, acting as the primary strategic point of contact for all project lifecycles, complex issue resolution, and critical inquiries.
- Manage high-level client relations by proactively executing communication strategies, portal updates, and timeline revisions to maintain transparency and alignment.
- Oversee and analyze lines of balance for the customer product line, leveraging data to optimize operational velocity and project tracking.
- Serve as the lead integrator across engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and executive leadership to align operational execution with client expectations.
- Author comprehensive executive summaries, compliance documentation, and presentations for highly regulated environments, ensuring absolute alignment with customer guidelines.
- Spearhead the planning and execution of high-profile on-site customer visits and executive briefings, professionally representing the organization and product line during facility evaluations.
- Predict and analyze risks threatening on-time material delivery, independently formulating and executing mitigation strategies before escalation.
- Collaborate closely with Associate Directors and Directors to align day-to-day operations with broader organizational goals.
- Adhere to established procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Maintain customer focus, integrity, and collaboration in the workplace.
- Contribute openly and transparently to internal efforts for ensuring a strong workplace culture.
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field with 9 years project and or program management experience OR Associates Degree in Business with 14 plus years’ of Aerospace experience required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in product management, project coordination, account management, or executive-facing administration or program management support
- Strong critical thinking, autonomous problem-solving, exceptional written communication, and cross-functional leadership.
- Demonstrated experience with MS Office Suite: programs include Power Point, Excel,
- Microsoft Project experience a plus
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities independently
- Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required
Pay Range: $98K to $102K
Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plan.
Work Requirements:
- This role is a 100% on-site position located in Rockford, ILL
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel requirements: Due to the nature of the work, zero travel is required.
Citizenship requirement: Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required .
