Job Title
Dyeing/Kuster Inspector Clerk | Monday - Friday

Position Overview

This position is Monday- Friday 3pm-11pm.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:   To detect quality problems while inspecting carpet and to report production through the Shopflex system.

Essential Duties:

- Inspect carpet for defects
- Obtain shade patch for supervisor to review
- Fill out correct information in the computer for each roll and print tickets
- Hold rolls and report quality problems to the Supervisor
- Report production through Shopflex
- Fill out Inspection reports/records
- Fill out Department “Stop Cards” for all line stops on carpet
- Monitor width and carpet dampness; communicate up the line if issues occur
- Determine correct changeover length to be removed and enter it accordingly
- Physically measure carpet width once per shop order and record results in Shopflex
- Assist in keeping work areas in a clean and orderly

- Manual dexterity and problem solving abilities
- Computer skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
- Work in normal industrial environment with inherent background noise, dirt, humidity, and temperature variations
- The employee works near moving mechanical parts and in precarious places
