Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Armed Mobile Patrol Officer is responsible for the protection of all property of the Choctaw
Nation, while maintaining the highest level of professionalism, and for ensuring policies and procedures are followed as applicable.
Primary Tasks:
- Patrols external company property and outlying structures while complying with all state and municipal traffic laws.
- Investigates unusual or suspicious situations.
- Assists with emergency situations including fires, and medical issues.
- Monitor and assist traffic flow during special events.
- Maintain security and procedures according to rules, including reporting activity to the appropriate dispatch, and referring dangerous situations or complex problems to supervisor.
- Walk parking lots and structures and check external doors and stairwells hourly.
- Possess a thorough knowledge of all external site property, including ingress and egress routes, high flow areas, congestion areas, and alternative routes.
- Operate and maintain department vehicles, and report any issues to management.
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of company driving standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Write incident report in departmental reporting software regarding all security issues, accidents, theft, or vandalism and submit it to the Security Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- At least of 21 years of age.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an armed security license in Oklahoma and Arkansas
- Must receive “Capable” results from Department issued MMPI
- Must be physically and mentally fit and able to perform all of the essential functions of a Security Officer and pass a physical fitness test
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license
- Able to qualify yearly with department firearms
- Basic Computer skills to enable report writing, composition or correspondence, Internet, and email
- Must be able to walk/run and stand outside for a full eight (8) hour shift
