As part of the Technical Services department within CAE’s Civil Training and Services division, perform all preventative and corrective maintenance tasks on several CAE and non-CAE flight simulators and associated devices at the CAE Training Center. The incumbent will support the following roles and responsibilities:

Description

- Perform routine technical tasks in a simulator, laboratory, office, plant, or field environment.
- Receive training in the various phases of laboratory, office, plant, and field technical work.
- Learn and perform preventive maintenance activities on simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Assist in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and correcting issues on simulators and associated simulator systems.
- Utilize the maintenance management system to record, document, and track maintenance activities.
- Complete all assigned training and development activities.
- Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on designated simulators.
- Conduct basic visual alignments.
- Execute automated Qualification Test Guide (QTG) procedures.
- Assist with simulator refurbishment projects and hardware modifications.
- Learn and comply with the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
- Provide customer service support and respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
- Perform housekeeping activities necessary to maintain simulator readiness and cleanliness.
- Support logistics activities, including receiving parts, coordinating repairs, and conducting testing and validation.
- Complete administrative tasks as assigned.
- Provide operational support to the Technical Services team as required.

Minimum Qualifications

- Associate degree (2-year technical degree) in a technical discipline, or 4 years of experience in an electronics, avionics, or related technical field.
- 0-2 years of relevant technical experience.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing shift requirements.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, system prints, and schematics.
- Proficiency in using electronic test equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
- Knowledge of analog and digital electronic theory.
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with PC hardware, software, and computer system architecture.
- Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repair techniques.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience supporting simulation, training, aviation, electronics, or technical equipment environments.
- Experience using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a technical environment.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment testin
