Your Role: Hands-On, Impactful, and Fast-Paced
As an Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Environmental Scientist early in your career, you'll work alongside experienced professionals on projects that help clients navigate environmental challenges and regulatory requirements. You'll assist with field investigations, environmental monitoring, sample collection, data interpretation, and technical documentation while gaining exposure to a wide range of project types. The role offers a balance of outdoor fieldwork and office-based responsibilities, supporting environmental consulting projects for public and private sector clients.
What You Will Do:
In the Field
You'll spend time at project sites helping clients understand environmental conditions, assess potential risks, and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Gather environmental samples and site data
- Support environmental assessments and investigations
- Inspect facilities and infrastructure for regulatory compliance
- Document observations and maintain project records
In the Office
When you're not in the field, you'll help transform technical information into meaningful solutions for clients.
- Review environmental data and laboratory results to identify trends, concerns, and potential risks.
- Prepare reports, maps, permit applications, and other technical documents.
- Research environmental records and support assessment, permitting, and compliance efforts.
- Collaborate with clients, regulators, and internal teams to keep projects moving forward.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field
- 0-2 years of experience in coursework, internships, or professional work experience related to any of the following practice areas:
Environmental assessment methods
- Due diligence processes
- Regulatory permitting
- Environmental compliance
- Asbestos and hazardous building materials
- Field subsurface exploration, a plus
- Water well installation, a plus
- Engineer in training (EIT) or Geologist in training (GIT) license, or are on track to obtain one, is a plus if you obtained the corresponding educational degree
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Someone who enjoys working in the field and is comfortable operating in demanding project environments
What To Expect:
With the use of Company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Working outdoors conducting fieldwork supporting subsurface exploration in varying weather conditions
- Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for potentially up to 12 hours a day
- Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
- Maneuvering field equipment safely, such as a loaded wheelbarrow, on uneven ground around active construction sites
