Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Division is seeking a Security Coordinator 4 to join our team of talented and diverse individuals at our Huntsville, AL location.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform Physical Security functions including managing badging, visitor logs, key or lock control, and inventories.

- Support compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and National Industrial Security Program (NISP) guidelines for classified areas.

- Perform customer support by answering internal and external security inquiries via case management and shared service tools.

- Deliver security orientation training, and or site-specific refresher training as needed.

- Support SIPR token issuance process.
- Monitors project management software for open security tickets including: clearance verifications, badge access requests, and other security tasks.
- Processes visit authorizations for employees and guests to gain access to restricted areas.
- Maintains and organizes controlled security documents and information.
- Excellent customer service experience with the ability to have critical and creative thinking.
- Support classified document control by maintaining controlled security documents and information.
Job Qualifications
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent and six-years additional education and/or security administration support as an AFSO (Alternate Facility Security Officer) supporting 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM)
- Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- Respond to off‑hour notifications and calls to support emergencies, team and program deliverables, and mission milestones
- Must have strong customer service & communication skills.
- Experienced with computers and networks
- Experienced with Microsoft office software products (Word, Excel, etc.)
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Completed security training (ex. CDSE) is a plus
- Experience with databases such as ESIS/SIMS, DISS, and NISS
- Self-starter with minimal supervision
- Ability to multi-task and deal with priorities
- Ability to work well within a team
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong working knowledge of basic office automation tool suites such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with conducting security briefings
- Knowledge of safeguarding and control and accountability of classified material
- Ability to maintain flexibility to deal with changing priorities and deadlines
Primary Level Salary Range: $58,300.00 - $97,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
