Job Family Definition:
Responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating demand/supply management, business processes and/or manufacturing/delivery of products and services to the company policy and country regulatory requirements. Partners with stakeholders to identify/implement opportunities for business process improvement to effectively manage costs, integrate new and existing businesses, and adapt to changes in the business and regulatory environment. Leading and working with cross-functional teams, creates and implements plans that enable the execution of business strategies. Participates in the process by which demand signals are developed, validated for alignment with transition plans, supply constraints identified, and an executable plan defined that meets financial and market share goals. Scope includes business execution processes related to lifecycle planning; Supplier selection and management, and order management (including allocation management, business attainment tracking). Partners cross-functionally to develop, track and manage business metrics for the organization (may include customer availability, service levels, on-time delivery, supplier response time (SRTs), supply chain costs and inventory.
Management Level Definition:
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers/clients. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
Responsibilities:
- Leads a broad range of complex supply chain processes, such as Supplier selection, onboarding, collaboration & management, suppler negotiation and costing, Contract management etc.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and leads/develops recommendations and provides insight for management.
- Collaborate with Commodity Management and Manufacturing Operations teams to gather, understand and document requirements and to ensure solutions meet the requirements with a simple and intuitive user experience
- Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes
- Analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns on commodity and manufacturing market trends, pricing strategies, supplier selection and performance management
- Independently executes complex demand and supply matching activities, connecting planning to execution, and identifying issues and their impact.
- Works cross-functionally to prioritize backlog.
- Leads cross-functional regional and global business unit planning teams to maintain and enhance the current business processes.
- Defines and reviews performance metrics on a regular basis, identifying opportunities for improvement actions to address.
- Contributes to priority projects by adding creative insights and developing recommendations.
- Analyses vast amounts of data, creates actionable plans to address issues and drive issues to resolutions.
- Project manage sourcing projects and work with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure successful completion of the project.
- Document processes and related evidence of process adherence, to support TL9K audits.
- Lead change management, communications, training, user adoption, and business readiness activities associated with sourcing process and technology transformations.
- Present information using data visualization techniques
- Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges
- Lead sourcing systems strategy, deployment, enhancement, governance, and integration across platforms such as SAP, Ariba, Smart Contracts, supplier portals, reporting platforms, and future digital sourcing solutions.
- Establish and maintain governance for supplier, contract, and material master data, ensuring data quality, accuracy, compliance, and alignment across enterprise systems.
- Coordinate testing, validation, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment readiness activities to ensure successful delivery of sourcing systems and process enhancements.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and business integrations through process harmonization, tool consolidation, data alignment, reporting standardization, and organizational change initiatives.
- Define, maintain, and enforce sourcing policies, governance frameworks, operational controls, audit readiness activities, and compliance requirements across the sourcing organization.
- Manage strategic sourcing programs and transformation initiatives, including roadmap development, executive reporting, milestone tracking, resource planning, and benefits realization.
- Work with cross functional team to drive advanced analytics, AI/ML, predictive modeling, and intelligent automation initiatives to improve sourcing decisions, supplier management, risk mitigation, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
Education and Experience Required:
- Typically 6-10 years of experience in a supply chain function with a solid understanding of Supply Chain and Product Costing processes
- Demonstrated ability in a data or business analyst role.
- Experience in data mining, knowledge of SQL, Business Objects, Agile, SAP, Oracle preferred.
- Experience using business intelligence and visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI
- First level university degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Operations, Project management, Computer Science, Engineering, Business management; advanced university degree preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent understanding of supply chain processes (plan, source, make deliver).
- Identifies cutting edge analytical tools, models and methods for making key business decisions.
- Understanding of artificial intelligence and machine-learning concepts
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; mastery in English and local language.
- Excellent internal and external relationship management skills.
- Strong analytics background with extensive knowledge and understanding of how to analyze business problems using Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), statistical analysis, and financial modeling.
- Problem-solving proficiency
- Very Strong project management skills, with capability to manage cross functional teams in multiple geographies.
- Strong business acumen and technical knowledge within area of responsibility.
