Job Title: Civil Engineer EIT Job Description This role offers an opportunity for a motivated Civil Engineer EIT to contribute to a wide range of land development and infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on stormwater management, site design, and permitting. You will apply your technical expertise in Civil 3D/AutoCAD and your knowledge of NPDES and municipal processes to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while working in a supportive environment that values worklife balance, professional growth, and collaborative project delivery. Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop civil site designs using Civil 3D and AutoCAD for a variety of land development projects, including commercial, residential, medical office, mixed-use, and transportation-related sites.
- Perform stormwater management and stormwater design calculations, including compliance with NPDES requirements and other applicable regulations.
- Assist with civil engineering construction plans, including grading, drainage, utilities, site layout, and related civil drawings.
- Support the preparation and coordination of permit applications for land development projects, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in public meetings and presentations as needed, helping to communicate project designs and respond to questions from stakeholders and municipalities.
- Collaborate with municipalities on project reviews, approvals, and coordination of public infrastructure and transportation-related components.
- Contribute to project engineering tasks such as cost estimates, schedules, and design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support project management activities, including tracking project progress, coordinating with internal team members, and assisting with client communications.
- Work closely with other civil engineers, CAD technicians, and project team members to ensure accurate, constructible, and efficient design solutions.
- Review and refine civil CAD drawings and civil site layouts to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to project standards and codes.
- Assist in the design and coordination of civil engineering construction documents for site development, including self-storage facilities, convenience stores, residential developments, medical offices, office and mixed-use projects, and institutional facilities.
- Contribute to transportation-related civil design tasks, such as site access, circulation, and associated roadway improvements where required.
Essential Skills
- EIT certification.
- 27 years of civil engineering experience, with at least 25 years directly related to land development and site design.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D and AutoCAD for civil site design, civil CAD drafting, and civil drawing preparation.
- Experience with NPDES requirements and stormwater management design, including stormwater design for civil site projects.
- Hands-on experience with land development projects, including civil site design and civil engineering construction documentation.
- Experience preparing and processing permits for land development and civil engineering projects.
- Experience working with municipalities, including coordination for approvals, reviews, and public infrastructure requirements.
- Experience participating in or supporting public meetings related to development projects.
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a closely related civil engineering discipline.
- Ability to support project engineering and project management tasks, including coordination, documentation, and communication.
- Strong understanding of site layout, grading, drainage, and related civil engineering design principles.
- Ability to work on transportation-related aspects of civil projects, such as access, circulation, and associated improvements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with civil site projects such as convenience stores, self-storage facilities, residential communities, medical offices, office and mixed-use developments, assisted living facilities, and institutional or commercial campuses.
- Exposure to expert testimonial-related projects or complex, high-visibility developments.
- Experience with development projects that involve coordination with multiple stakeholders, including public agencies and private owners.
- Familiarity with project management practices, including scheduling, coordination, and tracking project progress.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with municipal officials, project stakeholders, and internal team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a small-team environment and contribute across multiple aspects of project delivery.
- Interest in ongoing professional development and growth within civil engineering and land development.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
