ABOUT THE JOB
Anduril’s Planning team is seeking a Senior Manager of Demand & Supply Planning to join our team. The Planning team is responsible for planning material and builds to support rapidly iterating and building of cutting-edge defense hardware, including static equipment, mobile ground equipment, and flight vehicles. The Senior Manager of Demand & Supply Planning will managing multiple Business Lines of Demand & Supply Planners in executing S&OP and providing in-depth analysis for our business partners. They will ultimately be responsible for sending the correct signals to Purchasing and Manufacturing on what and when to buy or build for each of the supported product lines. The addition of this role is pivotal in transforming our Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, empowering our operations to not only meet but exceed our financial objectives. This strategic hire will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and enhancing our ability to forecast, plan, and execute with greater precision and efficiency.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Divisional Strategy & Alignment: Architect and execute the overarching divisional supply and demand strategy, aligning multi-business-line operations with enterprise growth targets, revenue objectives, and long-range strategic plans.
- Organizational Leadership & Capability Building: Build, scale, and mentor a high-performing planning organization across multiple business units; establish leadership development pathways, strategic resource allocation, and organizational design to support sustained growth. Calibrate talent across the Division as well as with the Central Planning team to calibrate across all the divisions.
- S&OP Ownership: Own and mature the divisional S&OP framework with the assistance of the Central Planning team, driving strategic consensus among VP/C-suite leaders across Growth, Operations, and Finance.
- Executive Decision-Making & Scenario Modeling: Serve as a strategic advisor to divisional executive leadership by delivering advanced scenario modeling, financial trade-off analyses, and risk-adjusted options for complex, macro-level operational decisions.
- Working Capital & Inventory Governance: Set the strategic vision and governance for divisional working capital; establish inventory optimization policies that balance global customer service level targets with cash-flow optimization and excess/obsolescence (E&O) mitigation across all product portfolios.
- Supply Resilience & Strategic Risk Management: Champion business continuity and end-to-end supply chain resilience across the division; partner with Procurement and Operations to govern strategic supplier relationships and mitigate geopolitical, macroeconomic, and systemic supply risks.
- Process Standardization & Operational Excellence: Direct the continuous transformation and institutionalization of planning processes across all business lines, creating scalable, agile, and best-in-class divisional operating standards.
- Governance & Divisional Scorecards: Define and govern the divisional operational scorecard; benchmark and drive accountability for core metrics—such as Forecast Value Add (FVA), forecast accuracy/bias, cash-to-cash cycle, and asset utilization—across all business units.
- Executive & Board-Level Reporting: Synthesize divisional operational health, supply chain vulnerabilities, portfolio risks, and strategic capital requirements for presentation to C-suite leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Portfolio Lifecycle & Commercialization Strategy: Direct the supply and demand integration for divisional New Product Introductions (NPI) and lifecycle management (phase-in/phase-out), ensuring supply network readiness for high-impact commercial launches and market expansions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (i.e. manufacturing, engineering, analytics, computer science, etc.) or business field (i.e. finance, economics, supply chain management, business administration, marketing, etc.).
- 8+ years of experience in a supply chain or production role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment with complex mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
- 5+ years of experience managing direct teams.
- Demonstrated ability to completely own complex value chains from start to finish, coordinating between multiple internal and internal parties to ensure on-time deliveries and adherence to quality standards.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Netsuite, and CRM systems like Salesforce.
- Ability to demonstrate a willingness to take on substantial responsibility across supply chain, logistics, engineering, and supply planning functions with a bias towards speed and accuracy.
- Strong technical expertise including ability to read technical documentation, drawings, and CAD data, understanding of a variety of hardware manufacturing processes for both electronics (PCBAs, sensor hardware, etc.) and structures/mechanisms.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree or other higher education.
- Ability to demonstrate a willingness to take on substantial responsibility across supply chain, logistics, engineering, and supply planning functions with a bias towards speed and accuracy.
- Strong experience with SQL databases, including building custom queries for production and inventory metrics.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Qlikview.
- Knowledge of supply chain planning systems like Blue Yonder and best practices in demand planning, inventory management, and S&OP.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, six sigma principles, and big data evaluation techniques.
- Proactive, able to take substantial responsibility across various functions, with a focus on speed and accuracy.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance.
US Salary Range $166,000 — $220,000 USD
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
