We are seeking a passionate and driven Part-Time Development Associate to join our team. This individual will help us build on our current fundraising efforts and increase the visibility of our work within the local Jewish community and beyond.

Position Overview
The Development Associate will play a crucial role in developing and executing fundraising strategies that align with the organization’s mission. The successful candidate will work closely with our leadership team to cultivate donor relationships, secure funding from individuals and foundations, and manage various development activities. The role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the Jewish community, and a passion for nonprofit work.

What You Will Do

- Fundraising Strategy & Execution : Develop and implement strategies in collaboration with HOW leadership to increase donations and funding opportunities, including individual donations, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, and foundation grants.

- Donor Relations : Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, partners, and stakeholders. Provide regular updates and ensure a high level of donor engagement.

- Fundraising Campaigns : Collaborate with board members and senior leadership to develop and implement annual fundraising strategy, online and mail fundraising efforts, promote special events and targeted fundraising initiatives.

- Data Management : Maintain accurate donor records and track donations using the organization’s CRM system. Provide regular reports on fundraising progress.

- Community Engagement : Represent the organization at local Jewish community events, outreach activities, and network-building events to strengthen relationships with community leaders.

What You'll Bring to the Job

- Experience : 3+ years of experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, or related fields. Experience in a Jewish nonprofit or faith-based organization is a plus.

- Skills : Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience in grant writing and donor communication. Familiarity with donor databases and fundraising platforms. Experience with Little Green Light CRM a plus.

- Knowledge : Understanding of Jewish culture, values, and community dynamics , as well as comfort with diversity of religious practice.

- Organization & Initiative : Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

- Passion : A genuine passion for the mission of the organization and commitment to making a positive difference in the community.

Hours: This is a part-time position requiring approximately 20-2 4 hours per week. Flexibility in hours and remote work is available.
