Jasmax is seeking a talented Architectural Graduate/Architect to join its Sydney CBD studio, working alongside some of the industry’s leading designers to deliver city-shaping and nation-defining projects.
Jasmax is a leading Asia-Pacific architecture and design practice with studios across Aotearoa New Zealand and Australia. The role:
You will be a valued member of the project team, contributing to projects from early design through to delivery. You will bring a strong combination of creative design, technical capability and practical project experience, working collaboratively with colleagues, consultants and clients to achieve successful project outcomes.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to design and technical concepts that embrace regenerative design and designing with respect to Country, while developing your skills across the full project lifecycle.
Depending on your experience, you may take responsibility for specific project packages, phases, or even projects, supporting project delivery from concept and developed design through to documentation, construction and site observations. You will work confidently in Revit and contribute to the production of high-quality documentation, while continuing to develop your project coordination and delivery skills.
Attributes, Skills and Experience:
- A Master’s degree in Architecture (from Australia or overseas).
- 3+ years' architectural experience post completion of your Master’s degree.
- Strong design capability and a good understanding of architectural design principles and spatial storytelling.
- A solid technical understanding and experience contributing to the delivery of projects.
- Experience working across multiple project phases, from concept design through to documentation and construction.
- Experience with Revit, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign; SketchUp experience is desirable.
- Working knowledge of relevant sections of the National Construction Code and applicable regulations.
- An ability to work collaboratively within a project team and communicate effectively with colleagues, consultants and clients.
- An interest in regenerative design, designing with respect to Country and creating meaningful, considered architectural outcomes.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver work to a high standard.
