About our property:
Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174’. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space.
What you will have an opportunity to do:
The Barista provides exceptional guest service by preparing and serving coffee, espresso beverages, specialty drinks, and light food items. This position ensures a welcoming atmosphere, maintains cleanliness and food safety standards, and accurately processes guest transactions.
What are we looking for?
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- San Bernardino County Food Handler's Certificate and RBS Certification required or must be obtained.
- Previous café, retail, hospitality, or food service experience preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Reliable transportation.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet guests and provide friendly, professional service.
- Take and prepare food and beverage orders accurately.
- Prepare coffee, espresso drinks, teas, and other specialty beverages according to established standards.
- Serve pastries, sandwiches, and other menu items.
- Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system and process payments accurately.
- Answer guest questions and resolve concerns in a courteous manner.
- Promote menu items, specials, and resort amenities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas, equipment, and display cases.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock products as needed.
- Perform opening and closing duties according to department procedures.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations.
- Maintain proper uniform and grooming standards.
- Stay informed about resort events, promotions, and services to assist guests.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
