AMO Technician

As an AMO Technician, you will support Assembly, Maintenance and Overhaul (AMO) operations by performing equipment repairs, preventive maintenance activities, equipment operation, and quality support within a manufacturing environment. You will work closely with peers, supervisors, and internal and external customers to maintain operational efficiency, support production goals, and ensure compliance with safety procedures and quality requirements.

As an AMO Technician, you will utilize your mechanical aptitude, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities to support manufacturing operations and equipment reliability. You will perform maintenance activities, operate manufacturing equipment, support quality assurance requirements, and contribute to achieving departmental objectives while maintaining a strong commitment to safe work practices.
As an AMO Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Assisting in maintaining Assembly, Maintenance and Overhaul production by making repairs within scope of expertise.
- Interpreting and executing work orders while following safe work procedures.
- Performing mechanical repairs on equipment and preventive maintenance activities on a scheduled basis.
- Identifying equipment malfunctions and supporting repairs before catastrophic failure occurs.
- Developing expertise within a specialized skill area.
- Operating medium-sized heavy equipment, including Bobcats, manlifts, forklifts, trenchers, and similar equipment.
- Maintaining awareness of safety hazards and following all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintaining department records.
- Setting up, monitoring, and operating various pieces of equipment associated with manufacturing facility requirements.
- Operating multiple machines simultaneously as required.
- Performing quality assurance activities in accordance with manufacturing, engineering, and industry standard requirements.
- Participating in special projects with peers from other work groups as required.

- Have advanced office or technical skills acquired through a combination of training and directly related experience.
- Have the ability to effectively interact with peers, supervisors, and internal and external customers.
- Have sound decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Have advanced mechanical aptitude, including experience with general hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
- Have the ability to read and interpret routine instructions.
- Have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
