Must-Have Qualifications

- Bachelors degree
- 10+ years of overall electrical/electronic engineering experience
- Significant experience designing, developing, documenting, and testing digital circuit cards / printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Proficient experience with Siemens HyperLynx
- Proficient experience with Siemens Xpedition
- Proficient experience with Ansys HFSS
- Experience developing engineering specifications and capturing electrical schematics
- Experience supporting hardware integration and design verification testing
- Strong understanding of digital electronic hardware and circuit card development
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Owego, NY on a 4/10 first-shift schedule

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in Digital Circuit Card / PCB Design to support the development of advanced electronic hardware systems. This position will support the full hardware development lifecycle, including specification development, electrical schematic capture, digital circuit card design, simulation and analysis, hardware integration, troubleshooting, and design verification testing. Candidates should have at least 10 years of overall electrical/electronic engineering experience, along with proficient experience using Siemens HyperLynx, Siemens Xpedition, and Ansys HFSS. These tools are central to the circuit card design, analysis, and verification work performed in this position. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary engineering team while supporting complex electronic hardware from initial design through integration and final verification.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, document, and test complex digital circuit cards and printed circuit boards
- Develop detailed specifications defining design requirements and performance expectations
- Capture and maintain electrical schematics
- Utilize Siemens Xpedition in support of PCB and circuit card development
- Utilize Siemens HyperLynx in support of circuit card analysis and design verification
- Utilize Ansys HFSS for electromagnetic and high-frequency simulation and analysis
- Generate circuit card design data, models, and supporting engineering documentation
- Perform analysis and simulation to evaluate hardware designs and support successful circuit card development
- Support hardware integration and board bring-up activities
- Troubleshoot electrical and hardware issues identified during integration and testing
- Develop and execute design verification tests
- Analyze test results to confirm hardware meets established functional and performance requirements
- Work closely with the broader engineering and development team to resolve technical issues throughout the hardware development lifecycle
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation supporting design, integration, testing, and hardware release

Contract-to-Hire Opportunity

This position will begin as an initial 15-week contract with the opportunity to transition into direct employment , based on performance and business needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer interested in a long-term role focused on sophisticated digital electronic hardware and circuit card development.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $93.00 - $93.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
