About this role

What will I be delivering?

As an Account Director within our Account Management team, your primary objective is to excel in achieving sales targets for the US market. You will drive growth through account renewals, cross-selling, and upselling, progressively enhancing the overall value of your account portfolio year after year. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the initial point of contact for clients, utilizing your expertise to analyze their challenges, propose tailored solutions, and adeptly negotiate deals. Collaboration with our research teams will be instrumental in delivering exceptional client service.

Under the guidance of the VP of Account Management, US, you will lead and oversee a dedicated team of Account Managers. Your responsibilities extend to managing your team’s client engagements, formulation of comprehensive account growth strategies, and active participation in the strategic targeting of brands and sectors for marketing campaigns aimed at cultivating new business opportunities.

Required Qualifications:

- Strong track record managing a portfolio of at least $7M in business
- Demonstrated ability to enhance existing client relationships, including upselling and cross-selling various data products and services.
- Expertise in scoping out custom research projects and identifying opportunities in this area.
- Proficiency in engaging with C-suite executives at client organizations.
- Experience in supervising and leading a small team Account Managers.
- Proficient in managing sales pipelines, with expertise in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
- Proven success in owning and growing an existing business with a minimum threshold of $7M.
- Comprehensive understanding of data products and the ability to identify opportunities for upselling to clients based on their specific needs.
- Effective client-facing abilities, coupled with strong presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Continuous growth mindset with the ability to hire and train team members, promoting growth within the organization.

- Experience in the financial services, nonprofit, academic or telecom industries.

- Ability to create and promote a strong corporate culture in a fully remote environment.

Travel: Up to 20% domestic travel throughout the US

For roles based in California, New York, Colorado, Massachusetts, or Washington State, the base salary hiring range for this position is $ 62,500 - 69,000

Compensation offered will be determined by multiple factors including location, job-related knowledge, skills

and experience.Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation and additional benefits.
