This is a heartwarming opportunity for compassionate providers who love making a difference! We work with members throughout Wisconsin to find providers that fit each of their needs. Our goal is to help individuals be in more control of their own supports and to have a say in who is assisting them. This helps them to stay in their own homes as long as possible.

Title: Youth Respite Provider Pay: $17.66/Hour Location: Eau Claire, WI Job Posting: Fun Week Night Youth Respite Provider We’re looking for a compassionate, patient respite care provider to support a sweet and energetic child with Autism. This role focuses on providing safe, engaging care during weekdays, typically once a week, schedule in advance. The ideal provider is calm, grounded, and reliable - able to create a safe, structured, and fun environment where the child feels supported and engaged.
Location: Eau Claire, WI Starting Wage: $17.66/hour Schedule: 1 Weekday Night/Week (4–6 hours per shift; exact times arranged in advance with parent)
What You’ll Do
- Provide attentive, consistent safety supervision at home.
- Join in favorite activities like Sesame Street, Secret Life of Pets, dress-up, outdoor play, and educational games.
- Encourage self-expression and use positive redirection when needed.
- Remain patient and supportive when the child is frustrated (especially when told “no”).
- Support emotional regulation by being a calm, steady presence.
- Provide safe transportation as needed.

What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and current auto insurance.
- Experience supporting children with Autism (preferred).
- Calm, patient, and consistent - especially during challenging moments.
- Comfortable with child-led play and engaging in fun, creative activities.

About the Child
- Loves number blocks, Sesame Street, Secret Life of Pets, dress-up, and outdoor adventures.
- Enjoys educational tablet games.
- May walk on tiptoes and be a little clumsy, but has a joyful, “just vibing” personality.

- Patience is key - able to remain calm and consistent when emotions run high.
- A steady, reliable “rock” for the child.
- Non-judgmental, understanding, and supportive.
