Job Summary:
Meritum Energy is seeking a motivated Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team. Partnering closely with the Senior Recruiter, this role owns full-cycle recruiting and onboarding for requisitions across the company and multiple operating regions, including DOT-regulated driving positions.
This role sources, screens, and hires qualified candidates while ensuring strict adherence to DOT, FMCSA, and company compliance standards. The ideal candidate brings high-volume hiring experience, proactively builds candidate pipelines, develops strong relationships with hiring managers, and delivers a great candidate experience from first contact through the first day.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for assigned requisitions across the company, including DOT-regulated driving positions
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines through job boards, CDL schools, job fairs, referrals, and industry outreach
- Partner with the Senior Recruiter to develop and execute recruiting plans based on current and upcoming hiring needs
- Source, screen, and conduct phone interviews with candidates, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Review DOT driver applications and coordinate pre-employment requirements
- Create, post, and manage job advertisements internally and across external job boards and industry-specific platforms
- Facilitate the offer and onboarding process, including offer letters, background checks, and the DOT review process when applicable
- Keep the applicant tracking system (ATS) accurate and up to date
- Meet regularly with hiring managers to review requisition progress and adjust recruiting strategies as needed
- Communicate the hiring process, timelines, and compliance requirements to candidates
- Support employer branding efforts
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, or a minimum of two (2) years of recruiting experience
- Experience with an applicant tracking system (ATS)
- High-volume recruiting experience preferred
Skills/Abilities:
- Detail-oriented and proactive problem solver
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and managers
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and consistently meet deadlines
- Strong relationship builder with hiring managers and candidates
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Handles confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Regularly and safely lifts, carries, and handles supplies and equipment weighing at least 20 pounds
