STARTING SALARY: $17.44 - $27.91/Hour

STATUS: Part-Time (non-benefitted, <29 hours/week); Currently hiring staff knowledgeable in the following sports: Street Hockey, Pickleball, Soccer, Basketball, and Volleyball. A variety of morning and evening shifts are available.

DEPARTMENT: Sandy Recreation Center – Parks & Recreation

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Requires some experience in job related activities. Must be 15 years of age or older to apply. Knowledge of games, sports, recreation activities, leadership, team building, and self- motivation skills and problem-solving skills: proper English usage, speaking, and teaching. A general knowledge of first aid and CPR. Responsible for the care, condition and use of materials, equipment, tools, etc.; educating participants to learn new skills in games, sports and other recreation activities; great responsibility for making decisions affecting the activities of people. Communication Skills: Contacts requiring tact and judgment to avoid friction and to handle complaints; frequent contacts involving the carrying out of the program; ability to communicate effectively with all age groups. Regular use of program equipment and occasional use of a copy machine and telephone. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
