Job Description

We're looking for a Business Analyst that is passionate for Agile Software Delivery, with experience in Financial Services.

This role will be part of our Analysis Team. Analysis teams identify client needs, analyse processes, and propose solutions to align with strategic goals. While fostering efficiency and ensuring organisational success through systematic approaches, they also mediate between clients and engineering teams to ensure project clarity.

As a Business Analyst, you'll help shape and deliver viable digital solutions for our financial services client, bridging business stakeholders and agile engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

- Building strong relationships with client stakeholders by developing a deep understanding of their business domain and providing thoughtful, consultative support
- Collaborating with stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and clarify business, functional and non-functional requirements
- Offering actionable insights and solution recommendations grounded in client needs, organisational context, and industry best practices
- Translating product vision and epics into user stories and acceptance criteria, and maintaining an up-to-date product backlog
- Working closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to refine requirements, resolve delivery questions and ensure user stories are delivered in line with the product vision and agreed timelines
- Understanding the business rationale behind each requirement and helping align delivery with strategic objectives and specific feature or product outcomes

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience in business analysis on agile software delivery projects, with deep financial services experience - Preferably within Wealth Management / Superannuation
- Proven ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable solution requirements, expressed in a way that enables engineering teams to deliver effectively against the product vision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate insights and requirements to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Solid understanding of agile software delivery, including Scrum ceremonies, backlog refinement, sprint planning and iterative delivery
- Familiarity with standard business analysis practices, tools and deliverables, including process modelling, requirements documentation and stakeholder mapping
- Strong analytical mindset with a structured, self-directed approach to problem-solving, including the ability to assess trade-offs and recommend practical solutions
- Experience supporting acceptance testing and assessing iteration outcomes through stakeholder feedback and delivery metrics
