About this role
About Warden AI
AI is increasingly making decisions that shape people's lives, and there is still no reliable way to know which systems deserve trust. Warden is building that trust infrastructure: the independent testing, standards and certification that let organizations demonstrate their AI is fair and compliant.
We started where the stakes are most personal: who gets hired. Today we audit AI hiring and HR systems for bias and compliance, working with more than 60 HR Tech vendors including leading platforms like Greenhouse and Ashby, alongside a growing number of staffing firms and enterprise employers. In just a few years we have become the de facto standard in the category.
We are ten people, doubling in revenue every six months, with net revenue retention of 130%+, and deliberately profitable-minded rather than growth-at-all-costs.
About the role
Every audit we run asks whether an AI hiring system treats people fairly, and the answer has real consequences. Vendors use it to win enterprise deals, employers rely on it to meet new regulations, and when we find a problem, it can change what a client builds next. Delivering each audit well matters as much as the methodology behind it.
As AI Audit Manager, you'll run audits of everything from resume screeners to AI interviewers. You'll own each one from start to finish, from the supporting sales conversation through onboarding and integration to presenting results and guiding clients through remediation, working closely with our data and engineering teams. When a result needs explaining, especially one a client didn't hope for, you'll be the person they turn to.
You'll be the first person on our audit operations team, and the runbooks, processes and habits you put in place will become how the team works as it grows. You'll also see better than anyone where audits get bogged down in manual work, and partner with our engineering team to streamline it, so the team keeps pace with a fast-growing business.
What you'll do
Audit delivery
- Lead new clients through onboarding, tailoring each audit to their system and getting them to their first results
- Work with clients' teams to gather requirements and get their integration with Warden live and reliable
- Run our audit cycle across all clients, chasing missed uploads and fixing broken runs before they cause delays
- Own first-line analysis, bringing in the data team when it needs a deeper look
Client relationships
- Support sales on calls with prospects, answering their questions and spotting issues early
- Be every client's first point of contact, whether their question is about integration, results or methodology
- Present results clearly to engineers, HR leaders and legal teams alike
- Guide clients through what comes next, from earning the Warden Assured mark to remediating a flagged audit
Processes and tooling
- Make our audits repeatable, from runbooks and sales checklists to client intake forms and documentation
- Shape our internal tools and audit pipeline as their main user, working with engineering and data on what gets built next
- Track key metrics like onboarding time and audit turnaround, and keep company leadership informed, escalating early when something goes wrong
- Share what you learn from clients across the company, from methodology and product to sales and marketing
What success looks like in your first 90 days
- You've supported sales on prospect calls and led several new clients through onboarding to their first results
- You own the audit cycle, and every client knows you're their first point of contact
- You've taken a flagged audit from first-line analysis through to explaining the outcome to the client
- You've put runbooks, checklists and client intake forms in place for the most common work
- Your input has driven tooling improvements that measurably speed up how we deliver and debug audits
- You're tracking our key delivery metrics, and have used them to set next quarter's priorities with company leadership
What you should bring
- An analyst's mindset. You have a good feel for data. You can read a distribution, spot outliers and explain what a confidence interval says about a result, and you know when to dig deeper and when to bring in specialists.
- Technical fluency. You're at ease with data formats, integrations and troubleshooting, and you use scripts and AI to solve most problems yourself.
- Experience working with clients. You've worked directly with clients or external stakeholders and been the person they brought their questions to. You can explain technical findings in plain language.
- A process mindset. You've built repeatable processes from scratch, you measure how well they work, and you're always looking for the next manual step to remove.
- Organized under load. You keep many clients, audits and deadlines moving at once without anything slipping.
- Ownership. You take on problems nobody has assigned yet, pick up new audit types and tools quickly, and see things through.
This role isn't for you if…
- You're looking for a purely client-facing role, without the data and technical work.
- Working with data, from spotting what's unusual to judging how far to trust a result, feels outside your comfort zone.
- You'd find it hard to keep many clients and deadlines moving at the same time.
- You'd prefer to join a team with established processes rather than build them.
- You need clear instructions before you can get started.
- You're comfortable with repetitive manual work and don't feel the urge to fix it.
