Job Description:

At Regions, the Commercial Credit Services Group Manager oversees Commercial Credit Services teams responsible for underwriting business banking and middle market credit requests. This role ensures alignment with risk management objectives by enforcing policies, processes, and tools that promote a consistent and standardized approach to credit underwriting, including accurate risk ratings and oversight of both new and renewal credit approval activities.

Primary Responsibilities

- Develops and manages key performance indicators (KPIs) within the conventional underwriting team for approval documentation quality, credit servicing quality, and credit approval turnaround time
- Serves as a liaison with Credit Review, Risk Management, and Audit teams to identify and address any weaknesses in the Conventional Underwriting team’s risk management practices
- Oversees the hiring, development, and ongoing performance of regional team managers and associates supporting underwriting and portfolio management activities
- Champions talent development and training initiatives to ensure Regions maintains a highly skilled workforce and a strong succession pipeline
- Creates and maintains strong working relationships with key stakeholders including credit officers, client coverage teams, senior leadership, and Human Resources
- Ensures new loans and renewals are underwritten to prudent risk standards and in compliance with the loan policy and the credit risk management policy
- Serves in a leadership position for all risk management initiatives and activities regarding the conventional underwriting team
- Serves as a coaching resource around client selectivity, loan structuring, underwriting, servicing, and risk rating
- Serves, periodically, on committees, task forces, and groups as needed
- Leads credit product support and activity delivery for the conventional underwriting team

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Fifteen (15) years of banking/credit experience and six (6) years of managerial experience
- Completion of a major corporate credit training program or the equivalent corporate banking/corporate finance experience

Preferences

- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a related degree

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target:

$185,859.30 USD
Median:
$239,840.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:
This role is eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive plan. Employees have the potential to receive a discretionary award based on performance against defined metrics and goals.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
