IT Coordinator
The IT Coordinator supports the organization and IT Department by coordinating the acquisition, receipt, inventory, and distribution of hardware and software to Nutex Health locations nationwide. The role manages purchasing documentation, shipment logistics, invoice reconciliation, and inventory organization while also providing basic technical support. Limited travel and other duties may be required. This position reports to the IT Operations Manager.
The successful IT Coordinator will combine practical technical knowledge with strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills. The individual must communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and other stakeholders while remaining patient and professional when addressing demanding service needs.
The goal of this position is to support the timely acquisition and deployment of computer-related hardware and software for existing hospitals, hospitals under construction, and corporate offices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Place and track orders with technology vendors for computers, networking equipment, servers, software, and other related technology products.
- Receive and inventory incoming hardware and software, verify items against purchase orders and invoices, and record all received items accurately in the appropriate system.
- Organize, label, and maintain incoming equipment by project to ensure related items remain grouped and traceable through deployment.
- Package computers, networking, and other IT hardware for shipping.
- Coordinate outbound shipments by packaging computers, networking equipment, and other IT hardware securely; scheduling carrier pickups; and delivering packages to UPS or other approved shipping providers when necessary.
- Reconcile purchase orders, packing slips, invoices, and received items; investigate discrepancies; and coordinate corrections with vendors and Accounting.
- Coordinate with vendors on pricing, availability, delivery schedules, order discrepancies, and other purchasing matters, including negotiation activities as directed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor established par levels, and initiate replenishment activities when stock reaches defined thresholds.
- Monitor the IT ticketing system and resolve assigned help desk requests within established service expectations, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Identify inefficiencies in purchasing, receiving, inventory, shipping, and support procedures, and recommend or implement approved improvements.
- Provide cross-functional support and serve as a backup for other IT team members as operational needs require.
- Perform other duties assigned by the IT Operations Manager.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

- Two to five years of professional shipping, receiving, inventory, purchasing, or logistics experience in a large enterprise environment is required. Experience supporting a multi-hospital or healthcare system is preferred.
- Working knowledge of enterprise hardware and software from Dell, Cisco, HP, and other manufacturers. Candidates must be able to identify common IT equipment and components, including servers, desktop and laptop computers, network switches, firewalls, wireless access points, cables, memory types and capacities, uninterruptible power supplies, printers, and related hardware and software.
- Experience supporting Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices in a networked enterprise environment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, connectivity, and peripheral issues and escalate more complex problems appropriately.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and logistical information clearly to employees, vendors, and business partners.
- Demonstrated customer-service orientation, patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to resolving requests.
- Associate degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications, or comparable industry certifications, are preferred.
