Supervisor - Outbound Operations (Contract Logistics)

About the role

As a Supervisor within our Outbound Operations team, you will play a key role in leading people, driving performance, and ensuring the smooth flow of products through our warehouse. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will help coordinate day-to-day operations across multiple outbound processes, including Pick, Pack, Stack, and Dispatch, while creating an environment where people can learn, grow, and succeed.

This role is an important part of our continued growth. You will lead and support first operators, and warehouse colleagues across shifts, ensuring operational targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved. Beyond operational excellence, you will contribute to employee development, succession planning, continuous improvement initiatives, and a positive team culture where clear communication and collaboration are valued.

How you will contribute

- Lead and coordinate outbound warehouse operations across Pick, Pack, Stage, and Dispatch activities to ensure service, productivity, and quality targets are achieved.
- Support, coach, and develop team members and supervisors through regular feedback, development planning, and performance conversations.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and collaborative working environment while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and QEHS standards.
- Act as a point of escalation for operational and people-related matters, helping resolve challenges in a constructive and professional manner.
- Monitor operational KPIs, productivity metrics, quality measures, and workforce planning requirements, using data to drive informed decisions.
- Utilize WMS and reporting tools to analyse performance trends, identify improvement opportunities, and support effective decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth workflows, operational alignment, and excellent service delivery.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, efficiency improvements, and 5S activities.
- Support succession planning and capability development to ensure strong coverage for key operational roles.
- Act as deputy for the Operations Manager when required, helping maintain operational continuity and leadership presence.

What you will bring

- Experience leading and developing people within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, retail, distribution, or similar operational environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly, provide constructive feedback, manage difficult conversations, and build positive working relationships across teams.
- Experience working with operational KPIs, workforce planning, warehouse management systems (WMS), reporting tools, and Microsoft Excel.
- A continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities, solve problems, and translate ideas into practical actions.
- A growth-oriented approach to leadership, with a genuine interest in supporting employee development, succession planning, and team success.
