Maintenance Technician (Refrigeration and MHE Equipment)

Shift: M-F 7a-33p

Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys keeping equipment and facilities running safely and efficiently? We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team and provide hands-on maintenance support in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

In this role, you’ll work on a variety of equipment and facility systems, with opportunities to use your experience in areas such as forklifts, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical maintenance. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, has a great attitude, and enjoys working as part of a team.

Refrigeration experience is a plus, but we’re also interested in candidates with strong maintenance experience who are eager to learn and grow.

What You’ll Do

- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment throughout the facility.
- Help maintain facility structures, equipment, and exterior areas to support safe and efficient operations.
- Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on material handling equipment, including forklifts .
- At automated sites, maintain and troubleshoot equipment such as proximity switches, photoelectric sensors, pressure switches, and push buttons.
- Perform inspections and basic repairs on refrigeration systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Communicate equipment concerns, repairs, and other important maintenance information to leadership.
- Support the team with additional maintenance projects and tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For

- At least 1 year of maintenance experience or a combination of hands-on experience and trade school in areas such as:Industrial or building maintenanceMaterial handling/forklift maintenanceHVACRefrigerationMechanical or electrical maintenance
- Forklift or material handling equipment experience is a plus.
- Refrigeration experience is a plus , including ammonia, Freon, and/or CO2.
- Ability to perform preventative maintenance with direction and minimal supervision.
- Comfortable using hand and power tools.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with team members and leaders throughout the facility.
- Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

- Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20°F/-25°C in cold storage environments or up to 100°F/37°C in dry storage environments while wearing company-provided PPE and freezer gear.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs./23 kg , with requirements potentially varying by facility.
- Ability to work around various noise levels, including areas that may be loud.
- Some locations may require working at heights.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends when needed.
- Ability to safely operate motorized lifts and rental equipment as required.

Pay Range:$24.71 - $41.68
