THE ROLE

The Senior Creative Director, Amplify Production & Delivery, is responsible for leading the strategic and creative development of all client opportunities - from RFP response through concept development and delivery. This role transforms business challenges into compelling creative platforms and brand experiences that differentiate Amplify and help win new business and consolidate existing business relationships.

This position will work in tandem with the division’s leads and other team members as well as other key workstreams - including but not limited to commercial strategy, marketing, legal and operations - to meet and exceed client expectations as well as create effective & efficient processes and a positive & productive working environment.

This is a highly strategic role requiring equal strength in insight generation, storytelling, creative leadership, presentation and delivery excellence. The Creative Director will partner closely with Strategy, Business Development, Account Leadership, Experience Design and Production teams to create ideas that are rooted in client objectives, connected to culture and made possible through On Location's unparalleled access to the world's leading sports and entertainment rightsholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILTIES

Primary Responsibilities:

Creative Strategy, Concept Development & Delivery

- Lead creative development from RFP response through concept development and delivery
- Translate client briefs, business objectives, audience insights and cultural trends into compelling creative strategies
- Develop original campaign concepts, brand platforms, activation ideas and experience frameworks
- Transform client brands into immersive sports and entertainment experiences
- Create strategic narratives that clearly connect insight, idea, execution, and business value
- Ensure every concept is commercially viable while remaining creatively distinctive
- Lead delivery teams to execute high-quality hospitality experiences
- Ensure a continued understanding and appreciation of the wider business objectives of On Location and the client
- Execute all other duties assigned by the team or leadership

Business Development

- Serve as creative lead throughout the entire pitch process
- Collaborate with Business Development to shape winning proposals and presentations
- Develop executive-level pitch decks, creative narratives and presentation materials
- Present creative concepts to prospective clients with confidence and strategic rationale
- Help define Amplify's creative point of view and continually elevate the quality of agency thinking
- When required, support the development and delivery of RFIs, RFPs, and/or other responses to client briefings with support from other functional areas and team members

Creative Leadership

- Mentor designers, copywriters, strategists and freelance creative teams
- Foster a collaborative environment built around curiosity, insight and original thinking
- Raise the creative standard across all Amplify work
- Provide clear creative direction throughout concept development and execution

Cross-Functional Partnership

- Partner closely with Business Development, Client Services, Production and Marketing
- Ensure creative solutions align with client objectives, budgets, operational realities and timelines
- Help shape new service offerings, thought leadership and Amplify's evolving creative capabilities

Account Management

- Develop and maintain relationships from initial contact through to execution
- Onsite attendance at events and client meetings/site visits as required
- Research, gather, organize, author, edit, assist with design, and/or produce written materials; revise drafts including executive summaries, case studies, and conclusions

Other Duties & Responsibilities:

- Communicate expectations and establish clarity regarding job responsibility and task ownership; help the team prioritize, stay focused, and organized
- Extensive collaboration and communication within the team and across workstreams
- Situation analysis and decision making; identify, understand, and remove roadblocks
- Team Management: one-on-one, performance management, team development, staff training, reinforcement of accountability for processes, etc.
- Develop, document, and implement specific procedures, systems, and operational efficiencies
- Conduct and/or participate in Team and Leadership Team meetings, as needed
- Participate in post-event review meetings regularly
- Conduct process review / improvement meetings regularly
- Provide input on performance reviews, bonuses, and merit increases
- Monthly expense and/or event budget reconciliations, as needed
- Drive focus on Continuous Quality Improvement
- Foster an environment for participation and engagement from workstreams
- Maintain a customer-first approach by looking at the entire event ecosystem through the lens of the customer journey
- Lead by example, model our core values, and set the pace for the rest of the team while inspiring creativity and innovation

Travel:

Expected travel may range from 15-20% annually and 1-2 months of continuous travel during rightsholder events. Travel may include client meetings, site visits, familiarization visits, pitches, production planning, installations, events, and post-event reviews

QUALIFICATIONS

- Required Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in a management position (minimum of 15+ years), preferably in the experiential agency industry role or within the travel and hospitality industry
- Significant experience leading RFPs and new business pitches
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to uncover human insights
- Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills
- Experience developing campaigns across experiential, sponsorship, hospitality, digital and brand communications.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, Airtable, Keynote (Apple), and Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Preferred Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

- Proven record of building and maintaining client relationships and managing complex corporate accounts
- Experience with B2B, corporate groups, and/or high-touch guest services, experience execution and/or event operations
- A hands-on approach with the ability to execute customized and curated solutions for B2B and/or corporate clients
- Understanding of the entertainment landscape including the business of sports, fashion, culinary, and other cultural verticals
- Exceptional interpersonal skills – a collaborative style and ability to communicate effectively at all levels with strong oral, written, and presentation skills
- A creative, innovative, and strategic thinker with excellent time-management, organizational and supervisory skills as well as the ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
- Balance of creativity / innovation to dream big with the realistic logistical expertise to get things done
- Ability to use resources effectively and efficiently, can perform multiple tasks at once, and arrange information in a useful manner

Per local requirements and in the interest of transparency, the hourly rate shown below reflects the prevalent current hiring range for this position. Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.


Hiring Rate Minimum:
$97,500 annually (minimum will not fall below the applicable State/local minimum salary thresholds)

Hiring Rate Maximum:
$130,000 annually
