We are looking for a strategic, collaborative and solutions-oriented QA Expert to join our Quality Assurance team within Braine Internal Manufacturing , based at our UCB campus located in Braine-l’Alleud, Belgium.
About the role
As QA Expert, Analytical Services, you will provide leadership, governance and accountability across the analytical and laboratory Quality Assurance perimeter. You will ensure laboratory operations, analytical systems, methods and product-testing activities comply with applicable regulations and UCB Quality Policies. You will shape laboratory quality strategy, guide critical risk-based decisions and sustain a robust state of compliance and control.
Who you will work with
You will partner closely with Quality Control laboratories, QA colleagues, manufacturing and local and global functions. You will align stakeholders around a consistent laboratory quality vision and contribute to cross-functional and cross-site initiatives. You will support the Head of QA, guide senior QA colleagues and represent Quality during audits, inspections, governance forums and strategic analytical projects.
What you will do
· You will define and deploy quality strategies for analytical laboratories, aligned with site and global standards.
· You will oversee critical deviations, investigations, OOS/OOT results, change controls, CAPAs, qualifications and analytical validations.
· You will make risk-based quality decisions protecting patients, data integrity, regulatory compliance and worldwide product supply.
· You will represent laboratory Quality in audits, inspections, governance forums and local or global transversal projects.
· You will strengthen laboratory Quality Systems and drive measurable improvements in compliance, robustness, efficiency and performance.
· You will provide delegated managerial back-up, ensuring continuity, prioritisation and effective alignment across QA and QC stakeholders.
Interested?
For this role, we are looking for the following education, experience and skills:
· Master’s degree, or equivalent, in life sciences, chemistry, pharmacy, engineering or another relevant discipline.
· Extensive experience in GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments, with significant exposure to analytical laboratories.
· Strong understanding of analytical methods, laboratory processes, data integrity and Quality Control systems.
· Strong knowledge of Quality Systems and relevant GMP, ICH, FDA, EMA and PIC/S requirements.
· Sound judgement and confidence when leading complex investigations and making risk-based quality decisions.
· Excellent stakeholder influence and collaborative leadership, with fluency in English and effective French for site interactions.
