About this role

Position Description:

The Engineer is responsible for supporting the planning, development, and implementation of efficient manufacturing processes from initial customer requirements through production. This role combines manufacturing engineering, estimating, CAD design, and project coordination to ensure products can be manufactured efficiently, accurately, and cost-effectively.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Establish bills of material (BOMs), manufacturing routings, and work center run times.

- Prepare estimates of production times, labor requirements, equipment, materials and related manufacturing costs.

- Review customer drawings, models, specifications, and requirements to develop manufacturing plans and production strategies.

- Support manufacturing engineering efforts for new product introductions (NPI), ensuring efficient transitions from design through production.

- Provide technical support to production personnel and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges on the shop floor.

- Create and maintain detailed CAD engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation.

- Identify and implement design and process improvements to enhance product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

- Monitor project progress to ensure established standards, requirements, and timelines are met.

- Develop, evaluate, and continuously improve manufacturing methods, processes, and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.

- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs, requirements, and expectations and provide appropriate technical support.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production methods, and manufacturing principles

- Ability to read and interpret customer drawings, models, specifications, and technical requirements

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify manufacturing challenges and develop practical, cost-effective solutions.

- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.

- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a cross-functional team.

- Effective communication and teamwork skills

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

- 5 Years of Experience in SolidWorks or related CAD software

- 3 Years in Manufacturing, preferred

- Experience with ERP/MRP systems

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

- Normal office environment

- Exposure to general plant and production environment

- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend and move about the facility

Other:

- Working more than 40 hours per week may be required on a frequent basis to complete company deliverables.
