About Our Family
We are a warm, fun-loving family of four with two active kids and a sweet senior cat. Both of us work full-time, and we love being involved in our kids’ lives, whether that means coaching sports, attending activities, helping with homework, or simply being present for the everyday moments.
Our evenings often feel like a race to finish everything that still needs to be done. By the time we are home from work and activities, we are checking off household tasks instead of having time to cook, relax, and enjoy being together. We are looking for someone who can help keep things moving behind the scenes so we can be more present with our kids and have a little more breathing room at the end of the day.
We already have a housekeeper and gardener and have organizational systems in place. What we are looking for now is someone who can help maintain those systems, take ownership of the day-to-day details, and lighten the mental load.
We are easygoing, appreciative, and value honesty, trust, communication, and a good sense of humor. We also value discretion, awareness, and respect for the rhythm of the household. There may occasionally be times when a family member needs a quieter home environment or some uninterrupted downtime, so we are looking for someone who is intuitive, respectful of those cues, and comfortable working independently when needed.
Who You Are & What We’re Looking For
You are naturally observant, organized, and proactive. You notice the small details that help a household feel calm and well cared for, and you take pride in creating an environment that feels orderly, welcoming, and easy to move through. You are someone who sees what needs attention and takes initiative rather than waiting to be directed.
You are comfortable stepping into systems that are already working well and keeping them running consistently, while also recognizing where a new system or process could make life easier. Once you understand the family’s preferences and the flow of the home, you are confident taking ownership of your responsibilities and managing them with a high level of autonomy.
You also bring ideas to the table. Whether that means suggesting a healthy recipe, finding a family activity, improving an organizational system, or identifying a more efficient way to handle a recurring task, you are comfortable making thoughtful recommendations. At the same time, you understand that learning a new household takes time. You are receptive to constructive feedback, able to adjust your approach, and recognize that open communication is a normal and valuable part of building a strong working relationship.
Trust, honesty, reliability, and good judgment are especially important in this role. Because childcare and transportation are part of the position, punctuality and dependability are non-negotiable. You communicate openly, take responsibility if something goes wrong, and can be counted on to follow through.
You are warm, personable, and easy to have in the home while also understanding healthy professional boundaries. You know when to engage and when to give the family space. Most importantly, you genuinely enjoy helping a household run well and find satisfaction in bringing consistency, calm, and thoughtful support to a busy family.
