About this role
Tesla is looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented supervisor to lead data auditors supporting the Optimus data collection program. You will own audit quality across operators, tasks, and collection sites: set standards, coach the team, catch and close quality issues quickly, and keep data ready for consumption. The successful candidate makes data-driven decisions, works through ambiguity, and thrives in a dynamic, high-volume environment. We want a leader with enthusiasm for robotics and a strong desire to contribute to the development of Optimus. Shift: 10:00AM - 6:30PM; Monday-Friday
Lead, coach, and develop a team of Data Auditors to validate recordings, uploads, metadata, and task execution against project requirements before data is consumed Own day-to-day audit operations on shift, including workload allocation, priorities, coverage, and timely resolution of quality errors Identify, document, and resolve data quality issues; escalate systemic or blocking problems to leadership promptly Monitor quality trends across operators, tasks, and sites; flag recurring issues and drive process improvements with project management Provide clear, timely feedback to auditors, operators, and site leads on common errors and quality standards Write and review audit reports covering findings, error patterns, corrective actions, and shift- or site-level observations Partner with data project management, training and tooling teams to refine audit criteria and checklists as collection tasks evolve
Prior supervisory or team-lead experience in data quality review, data labeling, QA, auditing, or a related operational role High attention to detail, ability to enforce precise audit guidelines, and strong proficiency with software used for data review and reporting Ability to identify error patterns, make sound quality judgments, and communicate findings clearly and professionally Comfort leading work across multiple sites, operators, and task types in a dynamic, high-volume environment Ability to perform technical troubleshooting on data quality issues and to learn new technologies and task protocols quickly Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, coach a team, and close quality issues under time pressure Enthusiasm for robotics and Tesla’s mission; evidence of exceptional execution in a fast-paced operational setting

Expected Compensation $92,000 - $138,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
