Job Summary
We’re looking for a highly-creative, results-oriented storyteller to elevate awareness and shape perception of our cutting-edge cybersecurity innovation externally. In this role, you’ll translate innovations into high-impact media coverage that reinforces Palo Alto Networks as the definitive leader in cybersecurity.
You’re a creative communicator who navigates the modern media landscape with ease and knows how to translate complex, highly technical concepts into sharp, pitchable angles, with a proven track record of securing strong coverage. You don’t rely on an outdated PR playbook; you steer end-to-end programs with minimal supervision, hold the pen on high-stakes content, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where industry moments move quickly.
As a vital part of our Global Product Communications team, you will act as a key connection point across functions and regions. You bring strong media acumen and executive presence, know how to align cross-functional stakeholders, empower regional teams, and direct agency partners to deliver outsized results.
Your Impact
- Drive end-to-end earned media strategy and proactive pitching to secure top-tier coverage across North American business, technology and cybersecurity publications and new media.
- Tell incredible stories by turning complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling hooks for a diverse range of media.
- Architect global PR toolkits, messaging frameworks, and pitch guides that empower international teams to execute aligned localized campaigns.
- Lead major product launches and industry moments concurrently, managing complex workstreams and navigating ambiguity with minimal supervision.
- Hold the pen on core press content and media assets with high editorial standards; prep product leads and executive spokespeople for tier-1 press interviews.
- Convene internal cross-functional stakeholders and agency partners to align messaging and keep launches on schedule.
- Establish campaign KPIs and direct agency priorities to measure execution and maximize global earned media impact.
- Be a trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to key business stakeholders.
- Operate as a high-velocity contributor who naturally jumps in to support teammates, build cross-team consensus, and move the needle without waiting for a formal invitation.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of PR and communications experience, with a focus on B2B technology or cybersecurity.
- Proven track record of directly pitching and securing meaningful media coverage.
- Exceptional writer and storyteller who can draft first-rate assets with minimal editing required.
- Skilled at managing senior executive spokespeople and preparing product leaders for high-stakes interviews.
- Highly organized, self-motivated project manager capable of directing agency resources and driving multi-stakeholder launches under tight deadlines.
- Strong collaborator with the ability to navigate matrixed organizations, manage changing priorities, and resolve cross-functional friction.
- Ability to work under pressure to adhere to tight, last-minute deadlines and rapidly respond to breaking news cycles.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here .
