Business Function

Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Job Objective

To coordinate, support, and execute enterprise-wide Business Continuity Management (BCM) initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and effective incident response and recovery capabilities across DBS Hong Kong.

Job Responsibilities

- Strategy & Coordination: Coordinate enterprise-wide Business Continuity Plan (BCP), including OR-2/CBS, to formulate effective recovery and response strategies.
- Exercises & Validation: Support and coordinate corporate-level BCP exercises to integrate and validate the effectiveness of business and support units' incident response and recovery capabilities.
- Initiatives & Compliance: Plan and execute BCM initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
- Training & Awareness: Develop and deliver training and awareness activities to raise the BCM competency of DBS HK staff.
- Reporting & Risk Assessment: Produce regular BCM readiness status reports for senior management, providing in-depth risk assessments, mitigation controls, and recommendations.
- Crisis Management: Support crisis management and disaster recovery arrangements, including active response measures during large-scale incidents such as a pandemic.
- Key Accountabilities:
- Enhance BCM documentation quality and validate the efficacy of business recovery strategies.
- Support all audit and regulatory engagements related to business continuity.
- Provide comprehensive management reporting.
- Support business activities through effective BCM risk assessments.

Job Requirements

- Experience: Minimum 3 years of practical BCM or related work experience with working knowledge of the Bank's key functional processes and resources.
- Functional / Technical Competencies:
- Understanding of BCM methodologies, complemented by a strong foundation in banking operations and workflows.
- A self-motivated, results-driven mindset with the ability to approach complex challenges through creative, analytical problem-solving.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical or complex concepts clearly.
- Advanced proficiency in MS tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) for documenting, reporting, and data analysis.

- Language Skills: Professional proficiency in both English and Cantonese.
- Education & Professional Qualification: A bachelors degree from a recognized university. A business continuity professional certification would be an advantage (e.g., CBCP from DRI and MBCI from BCI).
