About this role
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance across the fleet, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and parts replacement
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across engines, transmissions, suspension systems, and electrical systems — both diesel and small engine
- Minimize vehicle downtime by efficiently resolving issues and keeping the fleet operating safely and reliably
- Conduct Virginia state inspections and ensure all vehicles meet local, state, and federal safety and maintenance regulations
- Accurately log all maintenance and repair activity and maintain inventory records of parts and supplies
- Oversee parts and tools inventory, monitoring levels and reordering as needed to keep operations running without interruption
- Create detailed invoices for work performed, process payments, and maintain organized transaction records
- Compile and present reports on fleet maintenance status to support planning and budgeting
What You Bring
Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree or certification in automotive technology preferred
Experience: 2-5 years of automotive experience
Licenses: Virginia State Inspection License required
Skills: Strong knowledge of automotive systems, excellent troubleshooting ability, and the physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Attitude: Detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to doing the job right the first time
Schedule
Onsite, Monday - Thursdays 7AM-5PM and Fridays 7AM-3PM
Frequent exposure to dusty conditions and all weather conditions year-round.
