One Beat a Varsity Achievement Brand is looking to hire a ScoreKeeper, it is the responsibility of the scorekeeper to keep the show running smoothly by maintaining the performance order as per the stage manager's' instructions, while also communicating any changes to the audio technician. It is up to the scorekeeper to ensure that scores are accurately recorded for every entry within the scoring system. Scorekeepers will also serve as the primary communicators to the judges during each event. It is the scorekeeper's responsibility to act as the emcee, announcing all dances over the microphone as they enter the stage, as well as make periodic announcements / reminders as needed. If and when a break is taken during the session, the scorekeeper will need to communicate with the photo/video team to ensure that they are in position prior to starting the show up again.

Responsibilities of this position include:

- Set-up scoring equipment.
- Maintain the order of performances, as per the backstage manager's instruction.
- Communicate with audio, backstage managers, and judges during each event, in
- addition to the photo/video team.
- Ensure scores are recorded, accurate, and complete for each entry.
- Ensure judge's critique files are correctly saved and backed up during the event.
- Monitor scoring data for consistency and alter the management of outliers.
- Monitor judge’s numerical scores for statistical consistency and alert management as
- necessary.
- Emcee and announce all dances over the microphone as they enter the stage.
- Breakdown scoring equipment after the event has concluded.
- Attend mandatory training sessions.
- Comply with all policies and procedures listed in your employee handbook.
- Adhere to other duties assigned by the event director(s) or designee.

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES

- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to work long event days (8–16 hours)

- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift 30–50 lbs (event equipment, merchandise bins, staging materials)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous event dance industry experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work weekends (Thursday–Monday) and travel from January–June.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Comfortable working in loud, dynamic, and fast-paced environments.
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to shifting event needs.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE

- HS Diploma or GED (required)
- Previous event dance industry experience preferred but not required
