About this role

Position Summary:

HR Director serves as the on-property HR leader and primary support for all HR needs. Will partner with Regional HR to develop and execute HR strategies. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for supporting employee engagement, labor relations, benefits, administration, workers comp, learning and development, compliance, and recruiting.

- Serve as both a strategic leader and hands-on partner to hotel leadership, balancing long-term human resources objectives with day-to-day operational needs.

- Drive talent acquisition and workforce planning: oversee recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning to attract and retain top talent while optimizing labor costs

- Oversee HR policies and compliance: establish and enforce HR policies, ensuring adherence to employment laws, wage and benefit administration, and workplace safety regulations

- Support financial goals: develop and manage the HR budget, ensuring efficient use of resources while supporting hotel operations.

- Managing employee relations, conducting investigations, and ensuring fair application of company policies.

- Oversee training programs, performance documentation, coaching, and corrective actions.

- Provide coaching, guidance, and HR expertise to leaders and team members at all levels

- Oversee HR administrative functions, including payroll support, benefits communication, HRIS updates, and personnel files.

- Supporting employee engagement, recognition programs, and retention initiatives to foster a positive work environment.

- Collaborating with regional HR leadership to ensure alignment and consistency at the resort.

- Support activating engaging associate recognition events and celebrations.

- Adhering to all standards at Camelback Resort as well as all Company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.

- Participating in the business planning process for the department.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business, or a related field preferred, or a minimum of 4 years of progressive HR experience.

- Prior hotel or resort HR experience preferred.

- Proven experience effectively leading others.

- Strong background in employment law, recruiting, employee relations, and talent retention.

- Proven experience leading employee engagement, performance management, and talent development initiatives.

- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems required; UKG experience preferred.

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite.

- Strong understanding of EEO, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and other applicable employment laws and regulations.

- Ability to effectively advise and influence property leadership on HR matters.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive employee and business matters.

- Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment and remain flexible through changing priorities.

- Be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently in a high-volume operation.

- Foster a positive culture within the hotel to include leading by example and providing guidance and support to all management and team members.
