About this role

Summary:
Synera Renewable Energy (SRE) is a leading offshore wind developer with a portfolio of projects across Taiwan and Asia. We are seeking an experienced Inter-Array Cable (IAC) Transport and Installation (T&I) Manager to manage the planning and execution of the inter-array cable installation scope, from engineering and procurement through offshore installation, testing and handover.

Reporting to the Subsea Cables T&I Lead, you will be responsible for safety, quality, budget, schedule and contractor performance within the IAC T&I scope. You will coordinate cable installation between WTGs and offshore substations, including load-out, laying, burial and protection, pull-in, termination and testing, working closely with the cable supply, foundations, WTG and OSS teams.

Scope Description:

As a key member of the Synera Renewable Energy team, your responsibilities will include:

- Manage the assigned cable T&I scope throughout procurement, installation engineering, mobilisation, execution, testing and handover.

- Develop and maintain scope execution plans, budgets, schedules and risk registers, aligned with the integrated strategy set by the T&I Lead.

- Lead technical tender evaluations and support contractor selection and contract negotiations with the T&I Lead, procurement, commercial and legal teams.

- Manage installation contractors and relevant vessel contracts, monitoring performance and addressing variations, claims and contractual obligations with commercial support.

- Review installation engineering, procedures and equipment suitability, ensuring survey findings, seabed conditions, cable handling limits and burial requirements are incorporated.

- Coordinate installation sequencing and access across WTG foundations and offshore substations, including readiness of pull-in systems and cable entry arrangements.

- Manage interfaces with foundation and WTG installation campaigns, ensuring cable works align with turbine access, testing and energisation milestones.

- Coordinate with the Cable Supply Manager on cable readiness, storage, load-out and delivery, and manage interfaces with adjacent packages and marine activities.

- Verify vessel and campaign readiness, including permits, resources, procedures, Marine Warranty Surveyor approvals and emergency arrangements.

- Manage client representatives and site supervision, ensuring effective oversight of contractor activities and clear reporting of progress and issues.

- Embed safety by design and lead installation risk reviews, ensuring compliance with project HSE and quality requirements.

- Monitor installation, burial, protection, jointing, termination and testing activities, resolving non-conformities and defects.

- Control scope costs and schedule, drive recovery actions and escalate significant risks and decisions to the T&I Lead.

- Manage completion and handover, including acceptance records, as-built documentation, burial and protection evidence, and closure of outstanding actions.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in marine, mechanical, civil, electrical or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

- At least five years of relevant offshore cable installation experience, including responsibility as a T&I Manager, Project Engineer or Lead Installation Engineer.

- Demonstrated experience delivering the inter-array cables scope from installation engineering through offshore execution.

- Strong practical understanding of cable installation methods, vessel capabilities, marine logistics, burial and protection, pull-in, jointing, termination and testing.

- Experience coordinating inter-array cable installation across multiple WTG locations, including foundation interfaces, pull-in arrangements and campaign sequencing.

- Experience reviewing installation procedures, assessing contractor proposals and verifying vessel and equipment readiness.

- Proven ability to manage contractors, schedules, budgets and technical interfaces, with practical experience supporting variations and claims.

- Strong understanding of marine assurance, Marine Warranty Surveyor requirements and applicable offshore installation standards.

- A strong commitment to HSE, with experience in safety by design, installation risk assessments and safe offshore execution.

- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive actions to completion and escalate issues promptly.

- Experience working on offshore wind projects; experience in Taiwan would be an advantage.

- Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken; Mandarin proficiency would be an advantage.
