We’ve been proudly serving Australian communities since 1914 and have grown to become a top 30-listed company on the ASX with a portfolio of iconic homegrown brands. At the heart of our continued success is over 115,000 team members working across the country, all contributing to bringing our customers smiles. You’ll not only get to see your work make a difference, you’ll be part of a team working together to help Australians eat and live better every day.
About the team
Supply Chain makes life easier, safer, and more sustainable across our network. Our team works with thousands of trusted businesses every day to bring together our suppliers, distribution centres and stores. By keeping those relationships strong and processes running smoothly, we’re able to maintain the availability and quality of our products for our customers.
About the role
As Systems Lead, you’ll play a key role in the next phase of our supply chain reset, helping shape the systems, frameworks and processes that support our automated distribution centres (ADCs). You’ll lead a team of four and work closely with ADC Operations, Coles Technology and external partners including WITRON to strengthen technical capability, cyber governance, security and continuous improvement.
You will also:
- Build and embed new systems frameworks, standards and processes across our ADC operations.
- Lead the design, development, testing and optimisation of new and existing technical services.
- Govern system releases and deployments, managing risks, dependencies and post-release performance.
- Own testing strategies and uplift capability across system quality, security and operational governance.
- Partner closely with WITRON, ADC Operations and internal technology teams to solve issues and improve system effectiveness.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of four while driving evidence-based continuous improvement.
About you and your skills
You’re an experienced systems or technology leader with a strong background in supply chain, warehousing or logistics environments, and you know how to turn complex technical issues into clear, practical action. Just as importantly, you’re an engaging people person who builds trust quickly, brings teams and partners with you, and is comfortable leading through significant change.
You will have:
- Strong technical and systems knowledge, ideally gained in an automated supply chain or logistics environment.
- Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to coach, influence and build team capability.
- Experience with warehouse management systems; knowledge of WITRON WMS would be a strong advantage.
- Strong stakeholder and supplier management skills, including experience with security and operational governance.
- Experience using data, insights and business cases to identify and deliver continuous improvement.
