About this role

Job Description and Requirements

We Are

Synopsys is the leader in engineering solutions from silicon to systems, enabling customers to rapidly innovate AI-powered products. We deliver industry-leading silicon design, IP, simulation and analysis solutions, and design services. We partner closely with our customers across a wide range of industries to maximize their R&D capability and productivity, powering innovation today that ignites the ingenuity of tomorrow.

You Are

You have spent years in the verification trenches and understand that the hardest part of building complex SoCs is not designing the RTL, it is proving the damn thing actually works before it goes to silicon. You have seen verification schedules slip, emulation farms sit underutilized, and teams burn cycles on tools that do not match the problem they are solving. That experience taught you something: the right solution at the right time changes everything.

You are comfortable walking into a room with a verification lead who is three months behind schedule and asking the questions that uncover whether they need more emulation capacity, a different bring-up strategy, or a hybrid approach they have not considered yet. You do not lead with product specs. You lead with understanding, then you connect the dots between what they are trying to accomplish and what will actually move their schedule forward.

Technical credibility matters to you. You can talk testbench architecture, coverage closure, and power-aware verification without sounding like you are reading a datasheet. At the same time, you know how to translate a technical win into a business conversation that an engineering director or VP will care about. You are not here to demo tools. You are here to help customers solve verification problems that matter, and to grow business by doing that well.

What You'll Be Doing

- Build relationships with verification, design, and engineering leadership at semiconductor and systems companies across India, focusing on understanding their SoC verification roadmaps and technical challenges
- Identify and qualify new opportunities for hardware-assisted verification solutions including emulation, FPGA prototyping, and hybrid verification approaches within both new and existing accounts
- Lead technical discovery conversations that uncover customer verification bottlenecks, project timelines, competitive tool environments, and potential use cases for HAV solutions
- Partner with account sales teams to develop account-specific growth strategies, competitive displacement plans, and opportunity execution roadmaps
- Coordinate with application engineering, product management, and global HAV teams to support technical evaluations, solution configurations, and customer deployments
- Develop and deliver value propositions that connect hardware-assisted verification capabilities to customer business outcomes like faster time-to-market, reduced respins, and improved verification productivity
- Capture and communicate customer requirements, competitive intelligence, and emerging verification use cases back to product management and technical teams to inform product roadmap and solution development

The Impact You Will Have

- Drive measurable growth in hardware-assisted verification revenue across India-based semiconductor and systems customers
- Expand adoption of emulation, prototyping, and hybrid verification solutions within existing customer accounts by uncovering new project opportunities and verification challenges
- Shorten customer evaluation cycles by leading effective technical discovery and coordinating the right internal resources at the right time
- Enable successful customer deployments that become reference points for expanding HAV adoption across other accounts and geographies
- Strengthen Synopsys competitive position by developing displacement strategies that win business away from incumbent verification tools
- Connect India R&D engagements with global account teams, creating visibility and coordination that turns regional opportunities into enterprise-wide wins
- Influence product strategy and solution development by providing clear, actionable customer and market insights that shape what we build next

What You'll Need

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor verification, EDA applications engineering, technical sales, or customer-facing roles supporting ASIC/SoC development
- Strong working knowledge of ASIC/SoC design and verification concepts including simulation, testbench development, coverage analysis, and verification methodologies
- Demonstrated experience engaging with customer engineering organizations and building relationships with technical decision-makers
- Ability to understand complex technical requirements and translate them into business opportunities and customer value propositions
- Experience with hardware emulation, FPGA prototyping, or hardware-assisted verification technologies is a strong plus
- Background in EDA field applications, technical pre-sales, or product-focused customer engagement is a strong plus

Who You Are

- You can sit in a technical deep-dive with a verification architect and walk out with a clear understanding of their coverage gaps, schedule pressure, and what success looks like for their next tapeout
- You know how to qualify an opportunity, not just by budget and timeline, but by understanding whether the customer actually has a problem your solution solves better than what they are using today
- You do not wait for account teams to hand you opportunities. You go find them by asking the right questions, building trust with engineering teams, and staying close to what customers are actually working on
- You can explain a complex verification tradeoff to an engineering director in two sentences without losing the nuance, and you can turn that same conversation into a proposal that makes sense to procurement
- You are comfortable working across sales, applications, product, and global teams to get things done, and you do not need someone to tell you who to loop in or when to escalate
- You treat competitive situations as puzzles to solve, not battles to win, and you build displacement strategies based on customer requirements and outcomes rather than feature comparisons

The Team You'll Be Part Of

You will be part of the Hardware-Assisted Verification sales organization, working closely with account sales teams, application engineers, product management, and global HAV specialists. Your focus will be on growing the HAV business across India-based semiconductor and systems customers, with strong collaboration across regional and global teams to connect India R&D opportunities with broader account strategies.

Rewards and Benefits

We offer a comprehensive range of health, wellness, and financial benefits to cater to your needs. Our total rewards include both monetary and non-monetary offerings. Your recruiter will provide more details about the salary range and benefits during the hiring process.
