Senior Test Engineer

Role Purpose:

The Senior Test Engineer will lead end-to-end test development and implementation for new sensor products and production transfers, transforming test concepts into robust, production-ready solutions from PCBA to final product testing. Through close collaboration with global R&D and cross-functional teams, this role will ensure effective test coverage, reliable test systems, and smooth product industrialization.

Beyond new test development, this Senior Test Engineer will drive technical problem-solving and continuous improvement to enhance test time, yield, productivity, and product quality. the position will also contribute to technology development, cost-saving initiatives, and regional or global engineering projects while sharing technical expertise and mentoring fellow Test Engineers.

Main Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end test development and implementation for new products and production transfers (PEP/PTP), covering PCBA and final product testing for projects of medium to high complexity.
- Design, develop, and release test solutions, including test systems, fixtures, adapters, hardware, test programs, firmware, software, and 3D AOI programs, in collaboration with R&D and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure test readiness and reliability by analyzing test chains and coverage, conducting Measurement System Assessment (MSA), including GR&R, and establishing test equipment maintenance and calibration procedures.
- Drive test performance and continuous improvement by optimizing test time, First Pass Yield, false-test rates, AOI effectiveness, and overall testing productivity through structured problem-solving and Lean tools.
- Deliver technology development and cost-improvement projects by managing assigned work packages, investment budgets, working hours, timelines, risks, and quality targets.
- Establish technical documentation and process standards by preparing test specifications, procedures, and knowledge records while ensuring effective knowledge transfer and production support.
- Strengthen engineering capabilities and collaboration by guiding and mentoring Test Engineers, escalating technical risks appropriately, and contributing to SEA regional and global projects.

Role Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation, or a related engineering field with 4–5 years of relevant experience in sensor manufacturing, electronics testing, or test engineering ;
- Proficient in written and spoken English; German is an advantage;
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end test development, PCBA/electrical testing, test fixture and adapter design, test equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, and product failure debugging;
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in C/C# and Visual Studio .NET, with practical experience using measurement instruments such as DMMs, power supplies, and oscilloscopes. Experience with firmware, AOI programming, and test automation is an advantage;
- Knowledge of DFM/DFT, MSA/GR&R, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, and structured problem-solving methods such as A3, 8D, 5-Why, and Poka-Yoke, supported by data analysis and visualization skills;
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks, manage project timelines and technical risks, collaborate across functions, and provide technical guidance to colleagues;
