Usul is a Silicon Valley AI lab helping America and its allies buy technology at the speed of Amazon Prime. We're Stanford dropouts, MIT AI scientists, and Tier-1 Special Forces Operators dedicating our lives to rebuilding the infrastructure that equips the Western world.
We’re the youngest founders to ever win a US Defense contract. Over the past year, we’ve helped Global 500 companies including RTX, BAE Systems, Palantir and Ukrainian drone manufacturers win $12B in contracts across 30 NATO nations.
You’ll be a backend platform engineer building the core platform infrastructure that world governments will use daily to acquire any technology at the speed of relevance.
**Who we’re looking for**
- 2-8 YOE backend infra experience
- **Experience with several of the following:** Python, DevOps, Bash, Linux, Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS/GCP, and agentic/LLM tooling.
- Has passion for solving mission-critical national security problems
**Bonuses**
- Holds a TS/SCI or Secret Clearance
- Has worked on government projects before
- Familiarity with React, NextJS, Typescript
