The Asia Regulatory Transaction Reporting team is looking for an experienced professional to lead transaction reporting across Japan and other Asia jurisdictions. In this role, you will work closely with Business, Compliance, Legal, Engineering, and Operations partners to solve complex problems and deliver practical, well-controlled solutions.

Operations play a central role in supporting the firm’s businesses, helping teams execute effectively while maintaining strong risk management, controls, and asset protection.

Asia Regulatory Transaction Reporting sits at the intersection of regulation, data, products, and technology, with responsibility for reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions, regulators, exchanges, and asset classes supporting Global Banking and Markets trading activity

As the function continues to evolve, the team is advancing its transformation agenda through greater use of data, automation, and emerging AI capabilities to enhance scalability, controls, and operational effectiveness.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Prepare to be exposed to various products under the 50+ reports the team covers by interacting with middle office teams, sales, other internal clients, and external regulators to meet regulatory requirements
- Use your inquisitive mindset to evaluate and escalate risk items to protect the firm
- Showcase your attention to detail by ensuring manual processes are done with care and also your creativity by enhancing the process to eliminate those where possible
- Partner with Technology to review and improve scalability and process strategically and tactically
- Engage in the testing and implementation of rule changes that impact reporting processes
- Grow with the team, develop a deeper understanding of complex transactions and work with our business partners to assess market changes and support new business
- Contribute to regulatory change, new business initiatives, system enhancements, issue remediation, and control improvements

- Ability to break down complex requirements and work with others to deliver clear, sustainable solutions
- A self-motivated, team-oriented approach with ownership, accountability, prioritization, and coaching skills

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the financial industry, ideally including regulatory reporting, operations, compliance, or related control functions
- Experience working with financial products, data, operating processes, regulatory requirements, or change initiatives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Familiarity with transaction reporting requirements or regulatory frameworks across Asia
- Experience engaging with regulators, exchanges, or industry working groups
- Experience contributing to regulatory, operational, or technology change initiatives from requirements through implementation
- Interest in trade flows, reporting logic, system architecture, with a passion for leveraging data, automation, low-code, and emerging AI capabilities to accelerate the team's transformation journey and drive improvements in reporting processes and controls
