Summary of Role:
The Director of Test Automation and Data Analytics will lead multiple teams responsible for building next-generation automation platforms, tools, and utilities for New Product Development and cost and sustaining organizations. This technical leadership role owns the automation ecosystem end to end, including test program generation, tester-to-peripheral communication, test-data infrastructure, and machine-learning and agent-driven applications. The Director will assess current capabilities, establish the technical strategy and architecture, and deliver a multiyear roadmap that supports future products, manufacturing scale, quality, and cost-of-test objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Build a scalable system for Test Automation and Data Analytics Automation. Solution should support multiple different ATE platforms and varied production lines (Digital, Mixed-Signal/Analog, RF).
- Define and develop Test Method Libraries to enabling re-use, standardization, and sameness across products and ATE platforms. Reduce / eliminate manual test-engineering workflows by developing and deploying AI agentic test automation solutions.
- Develop Test Program Automation that is capable of handling differentiated test flows and test insertions designed for multiple different market segments (Auto, Commercial, Industrial), and driven for best-in-class coverage and cost-of-test.
- Automation should go beyond test program generation and across the layers between testers and peripherals (tester / peripheral communications, data-transfers, etc.).
- Develop automation tools to support various critical activities across NPDE and Cost Entitlement teams (Program Audits, Test Time Profilers, data-analysis tools, GRR, Drift analysis, Cpk’s, CZ Reports, etc.).
- Write and develop application tools sitting on top of the data platforms – NPD dashboards, Yield / Quality monitoring dashboards, outlier screening effectiveness dashboards, lot dispositions, etc. Develop real-time analytics and decision making tools.
- Create and build applications and automated tools for complex and large data analysis.
- Leverage data from various sources within the manufacturing line, analyze, and outline opportunities for product cost and product quality improvements.
- Identify / document gaps, best practices, and lessons learned and feedback to Design, DfT, and PE NPDE / Cost Entitlement teams, to drive for better processes and test methods for future products.
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
Multiple years of combined experience in semiconductor test, automation, and AI/ML, with hands-on production exposure to test-program development, ATE platforms, and production data flows is key to this role. Candidate should have strong track record of building and shipping automation platforms and data systems that serve production users at scale – from architecture to multi-site fanout. He/she should be familiar with AI/ML applied to test and manufacturing data (outlier detection, yield analytics, adaptive test, or automated decisioning) and is expected to be an expert with modern automation and data stacks – Python, ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), and cloud-scale data platforms.
