We are looking for a Senior UX Designer with an exceptional understanding of visual and interaction design and experience building, evolving and scaling design systems. This is a temporary 9-month position starting in December 2026, covering a team member's maternity leave.

Meet Team Testdreiv. We bridge the gap between design and technology so that our teams can work faster and build smoother, more accessible digital services for Nordea's customers.

Team Testdreiv is the Design Language and Design System team, part of the Group Digital organisation. Our main purpose is to maintain and grow Nordea's official design system, ensuring every digital products look consistent and works perfectly for all our customers. We are a collaborative team of 10 across Helsinki, Copenhagen and Gydnia and are a part of the Customer Experience and Design community.

Main responsibilities in this role:

- Design System Stewardship: Maintain, update, and scale our comprehensive design system to ensure consistency across our product ecosystem.

- Community Liaison: Act as the primary bridge between the design and development communities to streamline integration.

- Design Advocacy: Champion our design language and best practices across the organization.

- End-to-End Design: Execute high-quality interaction, UX, and visual design solutions for complex workflows.

- AI Tool Integration: Leverage and implement AI tools within the design process to optimize workflows.

Your background and skills include:

- Senior-level experience: Proven track record leading UX/UI design initiatives and managing comprehensive design systems.

- Core design craft: Strong expertise across interaction design, information architecture, and high-fidelity visual design.

- Cross-functional collaboration: Demonstrated success partner-shipping with developers to translate design tokens and components into code.

- Tool proficiency: Advanced, daily working knowledge of modern design tools (like Figma) and component library management.

It would be ideal if you also:

- AI workflows: Have hands-on experience using AI design assistants or automation tools to speed up prototyping.

- Front-end knowledge: Understand basic HTML, CSS, native mobile frameworks to better speak the language of engineering.

- Community building: Have experience running inner-source design communities, workshops.
