Job Statement

We are now seeking qualified Light Vehicle Mechanics to join our Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) Trade Upgrade Program , providing an opportunity to broaden your trade, develop your technical capabilities and build a long-term career in mining.

The Opportunity:

- Undertake an employer-supported pathway to upgrade from Light Vehicle Mechanic to HME.
- Gain structured on-the-job training and development, supported by experienced HME tradespeople.
- Develop practical experience working on excavators, haul trucks, dozers, loaders, graders and other mining equipment.
- Build technical capability across diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, final drives, brakes, diagnostics, electrical systems and planned maintenance.
- Develop your skills and progress within GMS as our fleet and operations continue to grow.

- Previous mining experience is advantageous but not essential. You don't need to know everything about heavy mining equipment – that's what the pathway is for!
