JOB DESCRIPTION Pre-Sales Consultant – SOC & Cyber Security Services Position Pre-Sales Consultant – SOC & Cyber Security Services Experience 3–5 Years Department Sales / Pre-Sales / Cyber Security Services Employment Type Full-Time Location [Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar / As applicable] Reporting To Practice Head-SOC 1. Role Overview Looking for a dynamic and technically proficient Pre-Sales Consultant – SOC & Cyber Security Services with 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity pre-sales, SOC, MSSP/MDR or security services. The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer cybersecurity requirements, designing appropriate SOC/MSSP solutions, supporting the sales team throughout the opportunity lifecycle, and preparing technical and commercial proposals. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Pre-Sales & Solution Design
- Understand customer requirements, business objectives and existing security infrastructure.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions and translate customer requirements into appropriate cybersecurity solutions.
- Design SOC/MSSP/MDR solutions based on customer environment, security requirements and compliance needs.
- Prepare solution architecture, BoQ/BoM, sizing, resource requirements and technical assumptions.
- Recommend suitable technology/OEM solutions based on customer requirements.
- Support solutioning for SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, UEBA, Threat Intelligence, CTEM, DFIR, VAPT and other security services.
- Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, workshops and solution presentations.
B. Proposal & Bid Management
- Prepare RFP/RFQ responses, technical proposals, solution documents, scope of work and compliance matrices.
- Develop technical and commercial proposals in coordination with Sales, Delivery, OEMs and Finance.
- Prepare effort estimation, resource sizing, service scope and pricing inputs.
- Review customer RFP/tender requirements and identify technical, commercial and contractual dependencies.
- Support government/public-sector tenders, including GeM and other e-procurement opportunities, wherever applicable.
- Coordinate with OEMs and technology partners for product specifications, pricing, licensing and technical clarifications.
C. Customer Engagement & Demonstrations
- Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations of SOC/MSSP capabilities.
- Support POCs, workshops and technical evaluations.
- Understand customer pain points and map them to appropriate cybersecurity services.
- Participate in customer negotiations from a technical and solution perspective.
- Provide technical support to the sales team throughout the opportunity lifecycle.

- Maintain solution documentation, proposal templates, technical repositories and customer opportunity records.
- Support continuous improvement of cybersecurity service offerings and standard solution packages.
3. Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and SOC operations.
- Good knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR and security monitoring technologies.
- Ability to understand customer environments and develop solution architectures.
- Strong proposal writing and documentation skills.
- Good understanding of technical and commercial aspects of cybersecurity services.
- Strong presentation, communication and customer-facing skills.
- Ability to prepare BoQ/BoM, effort estimates and resource calculations.
- Ability to work on multiple opportunities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer meetings, workshops and POCs when required.

5. Educational Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Electronics or a related technical discipline.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications will be an added advantage.
6. Experience 3–5 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following:
- Cybersecurity Pre-Sales
- SOC / MSSP / MDR
- Cybersecurity Solution Consulting
- Security Engineering
- Cybersecurity Services
- SIEM / SOAR / EDR solutioning
- Technical Sales / Solution Architecture
- Candidates with a combination of SOC operations and cybersecurity pre-sales experience will be preferred.

8. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a customer-facing cybersecurity professional who can understand a customer's security challenges, translate them into technical requirements, and develop a commercially viable SOC/MSSP solution. The candidate should be comfortable interacting with CEO, Practice Heads, SOC teams and should be able to independently drive technical pre-sales activities from discovery through proposal, POC and closure.
