About this role

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for preparing and vetting documentation related to credit facilities and ensuring accurate recording within the bank’s systems. The incumbent is also responsible for ensuring the enforceability and authenticity of security documents executed by customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare Facility Offer Letters, Term Loan Agreements, and security/support documentation in accordance with approved credit facilities.
- Review and verify security and support documents to ensure proper execution and validity.
- Verify signatories' authorities through resolutions, powers of attorney, and other supporting documentation.
- Rectify discrepancies and deficiencies in existing security documentation related to legacy facilities.
- Ensure approvals are obtained for any deferred or waived documentation requirements.
- Prepare accurate and timely internal and regulatory reports.
- Monitor documentation deficiencies, including expired and deferred documents, and follow up for timely renewal.
- Maintain up-to-date collateral records within the bank's systems.
- Conduct periodic reviews and clean-up of obsolete security documents.
- Verify that all required security and support documents are available and valid during credit renewal reviews.
- Lodge security documents and collateral records into the bank's systems.
- Review approvals related to collateral releases and ensure all liabilities and facilities are cleared before release.
- Support the creation, amendment, registration, and release of securities, mortgages, and charges with government and free zone authorities.
- Coordinate with relevant stakeholders for collateral registration and maintenance.
- Advise the Credit Control Unit regarding the release of credit lines in the bank's system.

Business Accountabilities

- Adherence to CIB Group Credit Policy Guidelines and CAD Documentation SOPs.
- Meet agreed turnaround times for documentation processing and limits release requests.
- Monitor expiring and expired securities held in favor of the bank.
- Support business growth through effective documentation services.
- Ensure timely submission of reports.

Qualifications and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of Corporate Banking experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience within a Corporate CAD function.

Skills

- Knowledge of banking software systems and applications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Strong understanding of banking financial systems.
- Sound knowledge of Banking Products and Corporate Credit Administration.
- Understanding of UAE legal and regulatory requirements, including Central Bank regulations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Fast learner with strong teamwork skills
