Nu Instruments Ltd is a sub-business of Spectro Analytical based in Wrexham, United Kingdom.
We are an agile manufacturer of complex engineered components, and we are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our team in Subotica, Serbia.
This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of sourcing, supplier management, and cost control, while working closely with engineering and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and manage suppliers for a range of parts including machined and fabricated components, cable assemblies and electronic units (UK and global)
- Interpret technical drawings to identify the most suitable manufacturing route and supplier
- Lead supplier negotiations on cost, lead time, and performance
- Manage MRP and ensure continuity of supply for assigned suppliers
- Resolve supply and import issues quickly and effectively
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
About You:
- Proven experience in a technical/scientific manufacturing purchasing role
- Confident reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Strong knowledge of machining and/or fabrication processes
- Commercially aware, proactive, and able to work independently
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
