Facilities Manager – Aarhus, Denmark

About the Role
This is an opportunity to lead workplace services at a prominent corporate site in Aarhus, making a visible, day-to-day difference to the people who use it. As Facilities Manager, you will own the end-to-end delivery of a high-quality facilities operation — managing vendor partners, driving service excellence, and acting as the trusted point of contact for the client and all site occupants.
You will be the face of JLL on site: operationally sharp, commercially aware, and genuinely committed to outstanding end-user experience.
This role is based in Aarhus, Denmark. Fluency in Danish (written and spoken) is essential.
What You'll Do
Service Delivery & Operations
- Lead all workplace operations on site, setting and sustaining the highest standards for environment, safety, and user experience
- Act as the primary on-site point of contact for the client, building occupants, landlord, and managing agents
- Oversee vendor partners, holding them accountable to agreed SLAs and service expectations
- Manage compliance with current legislation and regulations across all facility areas
- Support short and long-term client projects, acting as the go-to lead for facilities, fit-out, and crisis management activity
- Identify and remove operational roadblocks, driving timely, effective solutions
Financial & Contract Management
- Own site budgets, finance processes, and P&L reporting
- Identify and deliver cost efficiencies and savings through proactive management and continuous improvement
- Lead and support internal and external audits, from preparation through to submission and follow-up
People & Vendor Leadership
- Inspire and lead the on-site team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture
- Manage, motivate, and develop vendor and indirect team members to meet and improve performance objectives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders — client, occupants, supply chain, and JLL colleagues
Safety & Compliance
- Champion and drive a proactive safety culture across the site
- Implement JLL HSE standards and ensure all safety requirements are embedded in day-to-day operations
- Report all accidents, near misses, and emergencies in line with required protocols
- Participate in regular Business Continuity Plan reviews
What You'll Bring
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven track record in Facilities or Premises Management within a corporate or blue-chip environment
- Experience managing multi-service line teams and vendor partners on-site
- Strong financial acumen, including budget management and P&L control
- Demonstrable success in contract management, measurement, and continuous improvement
- Experience in a change management or mobilisation environment is a strong advantage
- Sound understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation and requirements
- Small works and project management experience within an FM setting
Skills & Behaviours
- Fluent in Danish and English (written and spoken) — essential
- Excellent communication skills; able to engage, present, and negotiate confidently at all levels
- Strong leadership presence — visible, decisive, and able to inspire commitment in others
- Commercially minded, with the ability to identify opportunities for cost efficiency and service improvement
- Technically literate; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Highly organised, with strong time management and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Customer-focused, with a genuine commitment to end-user experience
- Culturally aware and adaptable — comfortable working in a dynamic, client-facing environment
